I done tires b4 but I also done the inside of the rim as well that way it doesn’t just stop abruptly I done 5 tires for a Jeep Wrangler and about to do another 5 on my new 18 Wrangler jk. Definitely the thicker u have it the easier the peeling process is.

Hello, the color is called Blaze Purple. I actually purchased it at prodip.ca, which is a Canadian site (I am Canadian). I found some with a quick research on Walmart.com: www.walmart.com/ip/Plasti-Dip-Spray-Blaze-Purple-11225-6/46089058, but I am sure other online shops carry it. Good luck!

Liked your video. But will the paint come off during any tire fix

Thanks! Great question. The plastitid will most lilely peel a little bit along the seal where the tire machine contacts with it. The good news is that it is possible to almost seamlesly reaply a touch up where it lifted. Although, I would not recommend plastidip for your wheels if you live in a area where you do seasonal tire changes.

@@gouletpalexandre Thank you for your quick reply. Currently I have black satin wheels but Im a girl and wanted to go with purple. I will just stick to their original color and not have to worry about the rest. Ty for your advice.

You can't torque the lug nuts accurately when the car is sitting on the ground...

Thanks for your comment! While that may be true for log centric wheels (centered on the lugs), those are hub centric wheels (centered on the hub). This means that as long as the wheel is sufficiently engaged on the hub before you drop the car to the ground, the vertical weight will sit on the hub rather that the lugs. Then you can torque properly It's easier that was because in the air, the wheel will oppose your torquing moment and want to spin. Having the car on the ground eliminates the need to have a friend press on the brake while you torque.
