I’ve never seen the horizontal plating of pasta before but what a great idea - so effective! Thank you for sharing these spaghetti plating secrets Taryn, I’m definitely trying the horizontal spaghetti. 💕
These look fantastic, it’s always nice to do something different it stops it being boring old spaghetti. I haven’t eaten it for a long time but now you’ve made me want to try eating it again. The older I get the more the way it’s served is important, to me anyway. Plus I don’t eat a lot so the smaller portions plated nicely make me want to eat, when a lot of food is just put on a plate Willy Nilly it turns me off and I can’t eat so thank you for your ideas Taryn, they make a huge difference to me now. I’m so glad I found your channel. Have a great week.
I love how your channel focus on sharing the plating ideas and techniques even ok simple stuffs! That’s why you channel is very unique compared to other cooking channels! can’t wait to try out these ideas!😊
Yes I do add a drizzle of lovely high quality un filtered Italian olive oil to pasta and on my pizza as well. I like also topping with a nice fine chiffonade of basil along with zest and capers. You do a nice job here. Thank you.
3:52 I served spaghetti that way in my cafe but difference with mine is each spaghet have different sauces like pesto, cabonara and arabiata sauces. I made mine to resemble the italian flag
Thanks for your comment! I love sweet potato it's such a delicious and versatile vegetable. We've got a video with a sweet potato puree coming out in a few weeks and also another older video with 3 different things you can do with sweet potato. Practice makes perfect. Make sure all your components are ready before you start plating and that your plates are warm. Each portion should only take a minute or two if everything is prepped and ready to go on the plate. If you're plating more than about 5 or 6 portions you might want to have someone to help you 😜
I think one of the presentations what you called carbonara with cremy sauce. My opinion this is just pasta with creamy sauce. Where is the black pepper lots o black pepper and cheese pecorino romano optionally parmigiano cheese??? Pancetta is OK but the best option is guanciale (pork cheeks) however the plate looks nice and fancy 👍👏
Thanks for your comment, please keep in mind that the point of the video is not in the recipe as such, but more the tips for a better presentation. You can make your own recipe to your preference and implement the presentation tips 😉
Sorry but it is a shame to call the last one Carbonara. It looks more like an Alfredo than a carbonara. If you want to present a reel carbonara add some bits of guancale or pancetta and drizzle some pecorino cheese and ground pepper.
Just working with what I have on hand, you can garnish yours however you like ☺️. Hopefully these videos share some presentation aspects you can implement with whatever you are serving.
