I use audacity as a speed trainer. You can practice the solo like 35% slower than reduce the amount you've slowed it down incrementally as you improve and become more fluid

He's not really, it's a hack.....the B minor pentatonic (B, D, E, F#, A) uses 5 of notes that are also found in the 7 note E minor scale (E, F#, G, A, B, C, D). The only difference between B minor and E minor is B minor has a C# and E minor has a C. The B minor pentatonic does not include the C#...it's a hack to know, easy way to play other parts of the neck. Almost B Phrygian as does not include the flat 2nd, the C... Works with any key, play the pentatonic 1st position shape from the 5th note of the scale. Same way you can play E minor pentatonic over A minor, as the E minor pentatonic does not include the F# found in E minor as A Minor has an F...an eye opener when I learnt it!

Easiest way to visualise it is, look at Eminor scale starting at 7th fret A string, overlay the the B minor pentatonic on top, starting 7 fret E string!!! Mind blown!

If you want to have your guitar play and feel the same with the new tuning as it did before then yes you'll have to do an entire new setup. If you don't change string gauge then you won't need to intonate. Also if you're going from let's say E standard to drop D, or D standard you might notice a slight change in the way the guitar plays. So you may or may not feel you need to do a setup. So things to consider would be new string gauge, floating trem, and how drastic a change the new tuning is. Hope this helps.
