Thanks for this one - took me awhile watching your "You shook me all night long video" to figure out I did not need the second finger for the C chord but I eventually did as a beginner that was a great lesson to have fun with. I am really looking forward to this upcoming video - I hope you discuss muting with these because I am finding that a bit of a challenge but critical with these - signed up for several courses on your site.

Saw some of the other ac/d c vid first. You recommended to learn these first. Lucky I just had learned those "cowboy" cords lol so changing them was easier. Thanks! Tomorrow I'll attempt the other vid

That should be what everybody should know as well as transitioning between them.

Another great lesson from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Would you please be so kind to give us an example of how to use a backing track to practice the pentatonic scales for beginners? It'll be highly appreciated. It is boring to go up and down the neck for weeks now...

I reckon that's why I'm sometimes lazy, with the one finger A chord! There's also the open string G to A hammer on's as well. I've played the G/B chord in place of a standard G chord for ages as it just sounds nicer (I've got wide fingers so I can hold the bottom two strings with one finger). Don't forget about their C chord bass run that happens a lot too!

Power chords are basically Perfect Fifths. Alongside AC/DC, a lot of glam rock bands from the 80s used them. I spent a long time figuring this out as a kid, I just wish I had Steve to tell me this all those years ago, would've saved me a lot of time, lol!

AC/DC is not about power chords, if you're talking about power barre chords....

There are a few advantages to being old. Not a lot......you know.......but a few. One of them is having seen AC/DC in concert in the "old days". I remember when Thunderstruck came out they were in concert and had a couple cannons on the stage that went off during the song. Angus jumping off a Marshal stack and doing his duck walk.................

Not sure I'd call thunderstruck "the old days" though mate.

Thanks for the video. Are those pick ups active? I’ve been wondering if I could get a HSH combination for my Ibanez. If anyone knows. Cheers.

These are mostly ok and at the same time a great big NOT. Before I go further, allow me to say that Steve mostly gets things right here. AC/DC loves open chords and that's the basic message. Steve totally gets it. On the technicals?....Highway To Hell is one of those songs that I've seen no one do "correctly", and here is no different. BUT - don't let me split hairs here, because the vast majority of what Steve is demonstrating is spot on - and who is going to know the difference, right? Play for fun. Except for me, and my 150W tube amps going into 1960 Marshall cabinets. I was alive for AC/DC and I do them quite loud, tyvm. And I do Angus right.
