You probably hear this on the daily but your videos have been really helpful, my ass managed to reach diamond 5 with Doom only due to your guides. I can't even play the other tanks anymore since they make me snooze. Appreciate what you do cuh.

You should do this style with more matchups and other huge plays. This was really helpful showing us how you think and play

Sometimes you get those people who swap to Orisa and hard focus you ALL game. They’ll chase you til the end of the earth. These Orisas are perhaps the easiest dub because they’ll chase you all over the map. They abandon their team chasing you with a slow character, all the while you can easily kite the Orisa and bully her teammates with your high mobility.

How to deal with orisa: Step 1: Don’t.

Basically, you have to play like a genius god gamer, while the orisa presses buttons 🤪

The top down map analysis is awesome, especially since we can see which way the players are facing. Super helpful to realize how even in GM the players are distracted by backline action. I've only been playing doom for probably 40 total hours and I have been so much more aware of what's going on in the game because of your guides. Having a team dump an ana nade, sleep dart, bap lamp, and just for you to jump back to your team is so rewarding. Awesome videos man, you're one of the reasons I continue to pay the game eve though the devs don't seem to help when updates come out

As a doom main i actually enjoy playing against orisa a lot of the time as i find her easier to play around compared to a zarya who you really need a lot of help from your team to pressure into using anything so you can dive her backline

learnign doomfist is actually crazy theres so much thinking and positioning you need to do to excel thats why i love him sm

I’m a GM sigma main who picked up Doom season 4. I only played DPS doom for 20 hours in OW1. I have one tricked doom on an alt to low masters. But, one day I played comp on my main against GM1 doom mains and actually won. Thanks to people like you and Zbra for helping me be bigger brained about how I play doom

Great video, Quake! It's really refreshing to look at ingoring mentality in practice. What I'd add, in gm5 -1, whenever I play against an Orisa, whtever I do, she is always in my face. If I go into the backline, she runs back and focuses me down. Which I guess gives space to my team and is good, but most of the time, there is no follow-up from them.

Thank you for this guide, yes for me I don't really struggle against Orisa personally as a matter of fact whenever the enemy tank switches to Orisa to deal against me it's usually somehow an easy win XD The only tanks I personally struggle against are Hog and Mauga tho lol. Whenever Hog hooks me, even if I go backline or play safe, if he hooks me it's usually game over, and Mauga just can't stop shooting, there are barely any openings and if you go to the back line or play safe like usual he will just turn and continue shooting you.

I like this guide there has to be more emphasis on sometimes playing to set your team up for success on every role instead of just trying to secure elims yourself like as Doom or even orisa I use my CC to push people back into my team or move supports away from their own teams LOS . You might not get the pick but your team will clean up . As Sigma use shield to stop Ana from healing, if you get the distance right you either deny heals or you get them to reposition unfavorably Value either way . Plenty of support players should also recognize when to just heal a DPS that can melt faster than if they add their own . Keep both of you alive instead of adding damage so you win more engagements with both of you alive instead of just one . But back to doom/any dive character sometimes annoyance is enough like Winton bubble can split teams , force cooldowns be resource denial but hey if you can slay go ahead just recognize the opportunities and if it's QP don't be afraid to make the big hero risky plays . It's fun and practice stuff out of your comfort zone

Orisa isn’t the thing you have to worry about. It’s the support or dps having CC. Ana sleep dart, mei Wall and slow, hindered, etc.

Great video! What's the custom game code that you use for measuring dmg/sec and placing bots? and what're your thoughts on Doom VS Hog? I feel its a similar matchup as Orisa with the only difference being there may be more times you play to stuff chokes, just to bait hook/breather before going on backline.

Now that im learning to play with doom, the biggest problem isnt orisa but sombra, how to deal with her?

Honestly guys. I do all this but it impacts my KD. I houndnmy yeam for healing but they do such a good job killing the Arisa and squishies that tru help her. I think i gotta take the time to memorize were all the health packs on the maps are.

Doom vs Hog guide potentially? Or somewhat apply the same rules as fighting orisa. Also does buffering pb after hooked getting not work anymore?

This only applies if your team is competent. If you dive in, do what you gotta do in the enemy backline, but your team is still dying to the Orisa...well...I think it's just time to take a break from the game 😭

But what if you dive straight to their backline but there is no pressure and the Orisa just turns around and punishes you?

orisa is such an easy character like all she needs to do to counter u is throw a javlin at her but for the doomfist he needs to be always aware of his positioning playing around corners and watching out for wall impact whilst orisa just pressing right click

I learned how to do this the hard way. Orissa isnt bad by herself but when its Orissa, Sombra, Mcree and any support with cc my life is pain. Such an annoying inconvenience to deal with but i still can pull off a win in most cases.

What happens if the Orisa follows you after you dive? In Gold ELO all the brawl tanks make sure that the second they see Doomfist in their backline they immediately turn around. How do you deal with that pressure? Is it regroup to the team or double down in distracting the enemy from the back and trust your team to take space?

Same applied to Ball, literally same way to counter, just ignore him (cuz pro ball guys didnt even scare of hog, cass, sombrero, sleepdart, etc)

I have played against orisa so much that its not even a big deal anymore. How would you deal with hog ana tho? Feel like the overlap of cooldown for sleep and hook is nonexistent and they will get wise to baiting out the cooldowns.

Tbh orisa never gave me any issues as doom, was only ever really hog, and on some occasions zarya

very helpful guide thanks. even as a master V doomfist this gives me a lot to try out. I often stay with the team and wait for someone to be out of position then jump in backline vs orisa but ill try this method and see how it goes.

How do you deal with ball? Im literally in the backline trying to distract supports/dps but team cant move forward with the ball and follow up.

Another question about orisa, say on a map like paraiso where the whole enemy team is holding high ground on top of eachother and the orisa is standing next to her backline, would it be wiser to just try and contest point and fight on point or is contesting high ground more impactful?

My main issue, how do you deal with Bastion and Orisa? Often times the Orisa is doing her thing and the Bastion is guarding their supports and I'm unable to distract without dying. How do you deal with that?

Maybe it's because I'm facing Orisa's that aren't super good, but she generally doesn't give me terribly too much trouble. Though these are helpful tips.
