How to Play Bastila Shan in Dungeons & Dragons (Star Wars: KotR Build for D&D 5e)

Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope... Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds. It's also how I feel about KotOR.

Best girl in Kotor, hands down! Please do HK-47 if you haven't already! Bastilla was my favorite of the non-HK and non-Canderous party member, so it's great seeing you do her now. But HK-47 should always take priority when it comes to Kotor characters for your party, for both Kotor and D&D.

The amount of sorcerer + paladin builds in this series that don't dip into hexblade makes me so happy.

Legend of dragoon last week and kotor this week. Both of these are amazing games that the publishers ignore despite all the fans clamoring for more from these series.

I imagine Mission would be a Rogue+Artificer but would LOVE to see the build. HK-47 would also be great as well. Either way, excellent build! Just remember, you don't need to Charm someone to your (Dark) Side if you just torture them.

Tulok I'm so sorry but you're wrong right off the bat... Bastilia's class is *Sentinel* not guardian. Those are the blue-bladed warriors, not the yellow-bladed seekers

I literally just went back to my KOTOR phase and replayed KOTOR II for the second time, so this is perfect.

YES! knights of the old republic! Thank you Tulok! Bastila was one of my first Crushes as a child, so i definitely shipped her and Revan together as well. My wife also played when she was a kid, and she absolutely hated Bastila. Go figure

Oh heck yeah, I am HERE for the KotOR builds! I tried making Jolee and HK a while ago using an Oath of Redemption Paladin and Gloom Stalker Ranger respectively.

Bastila is a fave and this is a great build. Also, I was struck by how close we're getting to episdoe 500. Very excited!

its impressive the low amount of exploiting Disney have done for the old republic era, im always fixated on my tangle the Lemur build from Sir Tulok (btw, please?) but there are so many cool space wizards and futuristic bounty hunters to pick! they don’t even need to change anything! (So please don’t....) Bastila Shan was given to the Jedi order by her mother, because of her lifestyle being to dangerous for a child, where she developed her connection to the force that would serve her in the Mandalorian Wars and later the battle against the Sith forces for the Star forge, where not even torture would break her faith for long thanks to the power of love… or if you know what dialogue to pick so she don’t die, no pressure mate!

I think I need to finally play this game.

For your next Kingdom Hearts character, might I recommend Atsuko Kagari? I remember you mentioning her as a potential build a while back, but It never happened and it's a crime. What do you mean "she's not a Kingdom Hearts character"? She has a shapeshifting magic sword thingy that Is meant to function as a Key for the "World Magic" (sound like a keyhole), she and all her friends are reunited in teams of three, She ultimately fight artificial monsters created from people darkness and bad vibes and her power comes from her "believing Heart". Sounds like a Kingdom Hearts character to me. That aside, great video as always, thank you so much for all your hard work!

Yes! I've played this game and its sequel so many times, and its characters are awesome, would love to see more! HK47, Jolee, Canderous, Kreia, Mira, Atton.. ooo Sion and Nihilus (actually don't know how one does Nihilus as a PC but I believe in you).

Guardian Jedi are fighters, so go Psi Warrior subclass. Sentinels are rogues, so go with the Soul Knife subclass. Consulors are magic users, so go with Aberant Mind Sorceror, Bladesinger Wizard, Great Old One Warlock, or Whispers Bard.

Bastila appears to be far more of a Shadow than a Guardian here. Not complaining; Shadow is my favorite tank class!

I’m astonished Tulok still hasn’t done Centaurworld characters. Not only is it a real test of his building finess, but its extremely lgbtq+ supporting AND gives more chances to use the centaur race.

Funny thing is, you can use her stats in kotor since it uses a whole bunch of tabletop rules. It's quiet interesting

Turn the unholy could be the sith power called frightenful presence flavor covered. There is sith force paralyze power in the old republic games though so hold person still works.

I'd have dropped the 'double scimitars' for a halberd or any ofnthe other actual pole arms, and grabbed thr pole arm mastery feat. It's 40 less hit points than Tough by the end of the build, but it's also more accurate and more average damage with 2d10+1d4 instead of 3d6 per round, also the reach let's you bop from behind a buddy making keeping those concentration spells up easier

The only way they can do Old Republic era would be starting it off with the Mando Wars instead of where the KotOR games are set and then ending the movie trilogy/TV series is when Revan comes back after ending the war
