The rev is who I listened to when I was learning his style was so advanced. His music stuck with me feel in love with how he mixed so many different styles together to creat his own.
Jimmy!!!! My love for the band unfortunately started a few weeks after he died. Me and my friend were 14 in 2010 and had not long met as she had juat started at my school in the new year and she let me borrow her dvd of them for the weekend because she was sharing her favourite bands and i was curious and after watching it i told her i loved the drummer and then she told me 💔 back then the internet wasnt a huge thing so i never googled anything about them so was completely blindsided and heart broken. He has had such a huge impact on my life and what kept me going throughout my teen years and im now a year older than him and it makes me realise just how young he really was when his life was tragically cut short 😢 R.I.P Jimmy ❤🦆🌭
Less than 10 years on the scene and he made the impact he did you can definitely argue that rate is equal to Jordison and the other modern greats. Him and Syn carried that band they really have been hit and miss since he passed. Still respect how outside the box they think and their sound is very one of one sorta thing. Only a handful of bands like it
One of my favorite soloist. Heavily influenced by Portnoy but super creative and not always so linear. The beat aspect is that he always find the groove!
@UndercoverNormie It's an acoustic E-kit with internal triggers. Doesn't matter, he's still a very legitimate drummer with insane skill and played in a few bands.
Notice almost every drummer he highlights dresses and tattoos himself exactly like all the others.. and except Danny Carrey. Since the late 80’s Danny has been playing hard rock/metal/Tool music at the highest level and has stayed true to who he is.
Wow. Hearing this part slowed down and with a metronome shows it was even more complicated and impressive than I thought! Who writes drum parts like this anymore??
jimmy will always be my favorite drummer by far, if you could do this type of content but with their first album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, that would be awesome! there are no chorus’s in any of those songs loll
