I dont currently own a baritone. My band plays in standard D (DGCFAD), for this song, we tune to drop C (CGCFAD). If you dont have a baritone guitar and want to play this in the same key as the recording simply transpose down two frets everything he plays here. The song is was written in F minor so the 7th fret on a baritone barred is the F minor, the same chord can be played on the 5th fret in the drop C tuning. The only real problem you have is the intro which is an A2 to A minor. You have to play that in a power configuration on the G/C strings with the base note on the 5th fret I believe. The only real other issue you can encounter although not in this song is any bottom octave b flat flat chords would have to be played an octave higher and wouldnt have the same low end thunder you get from the baritone. Baritone is ideal, but it can be replicated on a standard scale guitar tuned properly. ROCK ON... \m/(*\/*)\m/
You don't need a barritone. If they were using a barritone they would be playing in drop A. They're playing in drop A#. This means they're using a six string with extra heavy strings probably (I could be wrong)
Found this while searching for a tutorial. Absolutely amazing job. You definitely broke it down so anyone can understand and it helped me clean things up. Great job!
Your tutorials are great, and super easy to follow! I don't get why people are complaining about you going too fast, I mean it IS a video. I don't see how pausing and replaying parts of it are a problem.
You know, seeing as Benjamin Burnley doesn't really have a band at the moment, ever thought of reaching out to him? May sound a little crazy, but you're a fantastic guitarist, and you already know how to play a ton of Breaking Benjamin stuff, soooo... Anyone, just random thought from a random subscriber. Love your videos, by the way.
your really good but replacing Aaron fink would be kinda hard im not saying you cant but I also wonder who will be replacing him (im not hating i love your vids)
OMG! I've been trying to play this song for months but I didn't understand the tabs that I found in the internet. But your video helped me a lot. Thank you so much!
Ben uses a PRS Hollowbody II, but it's custom made witha baritone neck and all kinds of features such as a peizo pickup, which makes a really legit acoustic sound. That one is tuned to Drop A# or Bb (same thing). Ben also uses various other PRS' for other tunings, if you want to know about them just let me know. Glad I could help.
hey man. I love watching your videos, even though i suck at guitar haha. i am a die hard breaking benjamin fan and learned how to play "home" by watching your video. can you tell me what BB song is easiest to learn/play in your opinion. id really appreciate it.
can i use a Marshall DSL Series DSL40C 40 Watt Valve 2 Channel Combo and later get a Marshall JVM Series JVM410H 100W, for music like avenged sevenfold, disturbed, breaking benjamin, scorpions, five finger death punch, metallica, bands like that,?!!!!
Fender Mustang I. It's $99.99 and it is fantastic. I have it, and I love it. It has tons of effects, and lots of cool features. And even though it's only a 20 Watt amplifier, it gets VERY loud. so it's worth the money. And for such a great Amp, it's really cheap. I highly recommend you buy that, buddy.
Love all of you’re videos I am I big fan but I think the intro goes with pointer 6 string 7 fret ring finger 5 string 9 fret pinky 9 fret 4 string and that is counting the strings as the bottom string as the first string no offense mabe you’re way is right but I think this way sounds better btw nice video
So im just here wanting to play this song but i dont have idea of how to tune it properly to play this specific song, I bare can play in standard tuning :(
it's drop D...but down 2 Whole notes Pitch. In other words from regular tuning. Drop the low E note to D. Then drop the entire thing 2 whole note pitch. Or tune the A string to F. Tune it like you would accordlingly...then drop tune the Low E string a W step or into a Bb You need to get a thicker gauge string from the low to compensate or strum softly. Just know when you do this...it'll release tension on the strings...So you might need to release the tension on the truss rod a little bit.
You need more Dist for the second Bridge. Then you can palm mute it a little more without muting the note completely thus leading to better resemblance with the original song :)
Can someone tell me the strumming pattern in the start? Im new to everything an its driving me crazy, everyone online keeps directing towards ultimate-guitar, and im just like im asking for STRUMMING PATTERN NOT TABS!
i was told to tune to drop C# but it turned out to be wrong, so i tried drop C, still wrong. its actually drop C flat!!! you need someone to professionally tune your guitar to drop C flat. so then what do you do? to play drop C flat you will need to tune to drop C and play two frets down from where you are supposed to play. so in this song if you where to play string 1 fret 15, play string 1 fret 13. and so on, 7 would be 5, 5 would be 3.
Laughing-all the beginning guitarists trying to figure it out but getting nowhere cuz the guitar is tuned to “B flat” ...😂kind of a big thing to leave out.
Btw I made a vid on how to play the right intro and going to make a vid on how to play unknown Soldier if I get 4 subs on t breath tutorial and u can request and I’ll make all the vids I can and more so thnx and God Bless! Btw I’m also making never again tutorial if I get 10 subs
Jose Maria Castellanos Granero drop D is basically the same tuning as E standard except the top string, which would be an octave lower than the D string (4th string from the bottom up)
