How to Play C Major Chord on Guitar The Right Way!
In this beginner guitar lesson, I teach you how to play a C chord on guitar in a better way. Often one of the biggest challenges beginners struggle with when learning how to play guitar, is switching from one chord to another smoothly. If you are a beginner guitar player, this is going to be a very important lesson, because this will be a game changer when it comes to learning how to change guitar chords smoothly.
Often the traditional way to play a C chord makes it difficult to switch from one chord to another, because all of the fingers have to change position. If you learn how to play the C chord in the way I will show you in this lesson, you will find switching to other chords much easier because you will use common fingers (fingers that are in the same position for both chords)
If you are a beginner guitar player and trying to learn how to play a C chord on guitar, you don't want to miss this guitar lesson.

This is extremely helpful! Thanks so much! As a beginner and having suffered an injury to my left hand many years ago that caused permanent tendon damage, I have really been struggling with the C and G chord changes. I was getting to the point where I thought I would just have to avoid songs with those chord changes. This gives me hope!

So being learning the aquatic guitar for two years ,now from my learning experience Am so glad I persevered with switching between the C,G D Chords lefting my fingers up then placing back down again, I do appreciate the short cuts but learning them first wouldn't help you in the long run Just my two bob worth I do love the c add 9 Thank you🎸

Thanks for watching! ideally you want to be able to do both. Depending on the song, each one will have its place. Often beginners get frustrated and give up altogether because they just can't get the traditional chords to sound right. My advice is to make things easier and work up to the more difficult fingerings. Thanks again for watching!

It’s a game changer thankyou so much, I spent a lot of money on lessons and this was never talked about, it’s so easy to loose interest in something that’s hard to master, the C major has its place but this because of the quick change is spot on as you don’t need to panic about getting the timing right for the chord change 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

@@Studio33guitar on and off for about 10 years, I have been so frustrated that I just put my guitar down and leave it for months at a time with very little interest to go back to it, I started doing pentatonic scales to try and get back to it which kind of worked but need some good inspiration which I think your video may have sparked

Learning guitar is a huge undertaking and can be quite discouraging and overwhelming. I think one of the keys is to create small goals for yourself; learn one new chord, then practice switching from that chord to another chord you already know, and then learn a song that has that chord in it etc. small manageable goals really help!

If you dont practice the original shape of the C major chord, how are you going to learn to put your fingers correctly?
@Studio33guitar
@Studio33guitar Год назад
Thanks for watching! Yes, I agree (and I do mention this in the video) that you should learn both, but often times beginners get frustrated and give up altogether. Having an easier way to play the chord can be an encouragement for players to keep going

C and Cadd9 isn't the same thing. Cadd9 has a certain sound to it that you sometimes want, other times don't want. Learning Cadd9 instead of C isn't the right way to go. Sure, it's easier but it's not the right chord.
@Studio33guitar
@Studio33guitar Год назад
You’re right! And I say exactly that in this video. Cadd9 is a great substitution that works most of the time, but sometimes a traditional Cmaj is the chord you need for the song to sound “correct”. Thanks for watching!
