I appreciate the kind words :) I already did all the positions on mirage but for the mid players I didn’t do a demo and rather went in a server and talked about what each player’s job is. Will definitely keep this up for other positions though
Re: switching your strat up between rounds/matches: in game theory this is referred to mixing actions and is required for not getting exploited by opponents. In theory you should randomize, but in practice opponents are predictable and have strong decency bias so random isn't always optimal. For instance, if I play shadow on mirage A one round and frag a player, they will be more likely to check shadow the next round. Thus the value of playing shadow has gone down, and they value of playing other positions has gone up. If you are not randomizing in some way an astute opponent can notice your pattern and exploit it...that is, the fact that you are exploiting weak opponents means that you yourself are now exploitable.
Worth noting about Rain and "If you do what he does it won't work" is very true. Karrigan himself said "Rain doesnt work with a playbook or the strategic way he just feels the game. Even if he does a bad play if he is feeling the game it will work anyway Because he just feels everything
This is true and not true. Yes rain is a beast and if he's feeling it he's feeling it, but no pro player can get to a pro level and maintain it like he has by not playing consistent CS. That ideology is how a lot of pro players play overtime, specifically when Faze make it to overtime karrigan usually throws out the playbook, similar to how rain does in certain rounds/ games, but rain definitely follows theories and concepts that guide his gameplay just like every other pro player.

@@Pol0cs I mean karri also stated he just said fuck the playbook and will just call and micromanage on the fly. The only real strats rain follows is his postions and basic util for those positons. The rest is on the fly
