Did not start till I was 63. Such a fun and ADDICTIVE game. You can play people all around the world with millions of people to choose from. Very challenging mentally so your brain gets a good workout too.
I think it's 10 min 54 sec because the intro of 6 sec then chess puzzle for 10 sec and asking for subscribe was 10 sec. So, 11mins 26 sec minus 6+10+10 is equal to 11 mins . So, explaination was of 11mins and also I shut my eyelids once in 10 seconds So, I saw the video for 10 mins 54 sec. If you all guys loved my logic then plz like this and comment below.

I am so grateful to you for this simple and effective tutorial video on chess! I always thought it was out of my understanding to learn this game but I can safely say that I have picked up all your points on the first go and can now play chess smartly! Thanks a ton!
After watching, "The Queen's Gambit", I want to play the game. Fantastic movie series! I think 'trials' you set up, to go through all the permutations of one dilemma. I would very much like to set up a game and be led, step by step, through the THINKING of Chess. This would make oh so much sense to me. I love being tested and THAT is where we learn the best and fastest. If you chess people have not watched Queen's Gambit, I am telling you I think you would eat it up!
Thank you very much for this. I am sending it to a friend who I have persuaded to play chess with me online, but who has forgotten how to play. This is a much better introduction to chess than another I watched when I was looking for a good introductory video to the moves of the pieces, and the rules.
3 years.. I have been struggling to find the right person/video/app to teach me chess..damn man..! You did teach in the best way! Can't be anymore thankful.. gratitude 💝 I'm gonna follow your videos, thank you
During lockdown There were classes of chess from my school but due to some problems I missed my chess classes but due to the video I was able to learn chess properly. Thank you Chess Talk!!
One of my three targets for this year was to learn to play chess. So I decided to help out at chess club at school (primary). It is not as easy as I thought, but I am persevering and the children love it that there is an adult who can't do something that they can! I have told them that three letter word rule still applies to chess as in class...YET! Your video has helped me understand the checkmate rule and I know I have a long way to go but am determined to reach my target no matter how long it takes. Thank you.
Thank you so much, I've been wanting to learn this game. You've done a fantastic job of explaining the pieces and their respective moves. I'm ready to learn more from you! Excellent training for beginners! I highly recommend you!
Thank you so much for pretty clear explanation and covering all the points Question 1: @ castling .... what if king already met with check in few steps before the time to castling.... explain with this two conditions.... condition 1: king did not move in earlier check. Question 2: must say check or check mate Q1: Do the player has to say it verbally ... Q2 :what if he did not say... is there any chance for opponent to concider it as non check and take advantage of it. Q3: what if the check and check mate are said interchanble ...does opponent get advatage here as well. Q3: what if after seeing the check also opponent made a wrong move Question 3: can you cover how to calulate points. condition1: when it is stalemate or other kind of draw ... still the reamaining pieces gets their points or both players get equal points. please give some more clarity in these bits. Thank you. Question 4: the 50 moves . Does each get 50 moves each or 25 moves per player.
modern chess opening is not a beginner book. Try Play winning chess by Seirawan. You will learn the essential openings ,middle games and endgames ideas that a beginner must know.
I have done multiple searches looking for "beginner chess tutorials" and so many results seem so overly complicated or too simple. This video series is the perfect middle ground for someone who may know the basics of chess (such as I) but haven't yet built a solid foundation of tactics and strategy just yet. Bravo and good job on these videos.
Thank you very much. My son's school principal recommended he get into chess and this helped me to begin learning the game with him. Thanks so much for this!
I litterally knew what the pieces were called and a little about how they moved when my seven-year-old daughter out of nowhere asked if I could teach her to play chess. This is one of the simplest, best explained, super beginner videos I've found. Exceptionally helpful.
I was wondering how you would teach chess in 12 minutes. You did it! I’m very impressed. For all who are learning to play, this is the greatest game in the world. Enjoy!
You explain it so well. I wanted to learn chess after watching the movie The Queens Gambit. I don't have any slightest idea whats happening in the game and what the pieces called, etc. So, thank you for this video. Its simple and easy to understand.
I have wanted to play chess for a long time but never could find anyone to explain it as good as this. Thank you, I think I now understand most of what you said. I now have a chance to play and really understand the game. :)
After years of my Chess set living in a cupboard, I have FINALLY found an excellent tutorial to learn the cerebral game whilst on Lockdown! Thank you and Namaste Jeetendra!! 👏👏👏👏
This is by far the best explanation of chess for someone who has never played or even tried to understand this game. My only confusion is you said only the knight can jump pieces yet when castling it appears the rook is able to jump it’s king. Why is that. Thank you for the clear explanations. Liked & subscribed. 👍🏽✌🏽
I'll have to watch this atleast 4 times for learning it properly but it's much more useful than any other video(I'll have to watch it 4 times because I can't remember how they move😅😀
If you have a board to play on, sitting down and making 20 moves with each piece on the board by itself helps a lot. Otherwise, just pull up a board online and imagine making those moves to get comfortable with the movement. Happy playing!
Thanks for the simplified version. A question about pun promotion. If you want to turn it into a queen, do you forfeit your queen and place it where the pun was? And what do you do with the pun piece that you exchanged?
Thanks tons! I have always wanted to learn chess and I finally found a precisely detailed video on basics. This is the beginning for me and much appreciated!! I am looking forward to learn more as i apply.
I am new to chess, I have won only matches with my friends. I was very confused about the knight and how it moves, this was really helpful! Thanks! This was not like those other tutorials that waste time on other things...thanks for this once again!
Thanks for the great explanation. I haven't played chess before but my wife is talking about getting a fancy chess set, which is why I'm here. I've watched several chess videos on RU-vid already but this one was the most helpful so far.
@@codpieceofjustice4595 nice to hear that. Do you know chess tactics like pin and fork? Learning chess tactics will make you and your kids appreciate chess more and they are fun to learn.
@@ojsojs6004 Yes, I have read a chess book by John Nunn which I recieved for Christmas. I have also ordered the Mammoth Book of Chess from Book Depository. Mr Nunn's book was very helpful and the exercises he includes though difficult were instructive.
@@codpieceofjustice4595 what is the title of the book by nunn? A tactics book puzzle book that you and your kids will enjoy and help them and you improve is world champion's guide to chess by susan polgar. The way chess teacher help kids improve at chess tactics is by showing to them tactics example and after that let them solve at least 2 puzzles a day. If they can't find the answer, you will show the solution and let them try solving again the same puzzle next day. This builds pattern recognition. Set up on the board the puzzles.
While I’ve played chess casually for a long time, still learned a couple things here. Thanks for the short and concise explanations. Very well done and nice illustrations.
thanks a lotttt.I am a new player of chess and I learnt it a half.N I am sure that if I watch it daily, then I can also learn how play chess.I will never forget u,friend.Tnx a lot.
thank you so much for this video, if it weren't for you I still wouldn't know how to play chess, I just started today, and even tho I suck, I am still so very addicted to the game!!!! practice makes perfect
You are a great teacher. Played checkers all my life and can safely say I’ve beaten most people and need a challenge. I know I’m gonna get humbled but this video at least gave me a fighting chance as a complete beginner. Thank you!
Honestly the most comprehensive video explanation I've found ... The only way to really learn is to play , but this is a very good video 🤘(also I knew about that pawn thing at 9:30, but now I understand the move completely)
My Uncle taught me chess 10years ago, But he didn't teach me the rules of Draw... Through this video I learnt many new rules... Thanks and Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 ❤️
Your videos are really professional. I got my first chess set last month but had been putting off playing it since due to schoolwork. Now that I have arranged my schedule properly, I think I'm gonna invest more effort into chess cause not only is it a fascinating strategic type of game but also I really want to join my school chess club which requires some fundamental knowledge of this game. Also, the thumbnail art is really impressive!
Only thing you might have missed mentioning is that when castling, the rook can pass over a square that is attacked. And you can legally castle if the rook is being attacked.
Really good explanation about the whole rules of chess .. Even though I know how to play this game , the special rules benefited a lot for me . Thank you
11:10 RULES OF CASTLING: 1-) To castle, it must be the king's and rook's first move 2-) The king can not castle when it is in check, or through a check. 3-) The king can not castle if it lands in check right after casting when toe opponent does not even make a move You described the rules 1 and 2 but missed out on 3
