Chess is a game of privilege that is most commonly enjoyed by rich people. Sadly, despite being a polymath and starting at age 3-4; excelling in pretty much every sport I did, I lost my dad early on and focused on other sports/disciplines, and my chess is mediocre at best. But, like you, I also like to pretend I'd be a IM at least if only dad hadn't passed away. (Truth is, I doubt that extremely much given my chess now haha).

Was thinking the same. Levy is the villain for sure, beating a bunch of kids, and then the superhero comes to stop him, but spare him just shy of total annihilation.
