I grew up playing this game with my grandma, but we played it a bit different. All dominos were delt, whoever had the double for that round started the round, and I didn't know a double chicken foot existed, we only ever built it upward. Though the double zero was still a whammy. Fond memories of the summers spent up north playing cards and dominos at my grandma's kitchen table.

First time I ever heard rules.... I thought you had to wait to start play until you have the selected double to get in. You draw one each time until you get the right number or until someone "lets" you in... good family bonding.

Hi, I have a question. In both the Mexican train game and chicken foot, do you have to put a token in your lane or can you put a piece in any lane? On the Mexican train, I think you only have to put it on yours unless a player has the public train, but you can put it on someone else's, right? But in chicken foot, can you put in any?

Great explanation. One question, can I end the game by placing a double without placing a second domino?

Yes, the game can end on an open double. Once a player is out of dominoes, the round is immediately over.

If you are playing with a double 12 set, do you still start out with playing 6 dominoes on the double of that round?

Player 1 puts down a double. Can they put down a single tile to match or do they have to wait until their next turn?

Question: if i play off a number, and the other end of my dominoe is a blank(zero) does that completely stop the run? Can I play on a blank(zero) with another blank?

Another question. 3 players if one of the players never draws a tile to start and the chicken foot is completed by other 2 players, when does that player start to play?

I have a question....when we have exhausted all possible plays on a given foot (for example satisfying a double and there are no more of that denomination , is that foot not longer playable or just that 'toe' ?

Example, we are two players, we have so many pips on our hand, and can't make another chickenfoot (it needs 3, but we can only make 2) that means the game ended? We can't fill open spots since we have to finish the 3 foot?

Yes you can start playing with double 12s. And just played the same way.

aqui no Brasil é difícil encontrar o jogo para comprar, mas consegui um double 12 e jogo com meus amigos. Jogamos trem mexicano e estamos tentando aprender a jogar "pé de galinha" (chicken foot) mas não encontramos tutoriais em português... obrigado! mesmo não entendendo muito bem o que você fala, deu para observar os movimentos.
