P-pulgar I-indice M-mediano A-anular Spanish names for thumb, index, middle, and ring finger. Fort those wonder where they get those letters from like I did.
Induce does remind me of index. Median reminds me of Middle and angular is like anneversary otherwise know as ring finger. Just simple translation. If you didn't tell me what fingers are which I could have figured it out even though I'm not good a Spanish.
Thank You, especially for Blackbird at the conclusion, I always thought it sounded hard, but you made it look easy. I can play it now, after 50 years, it's never too late with music. Best wishes from Scotland

Lesson learnt. Don't go by number of views! 🤭😆 This was beautiful to hear and watch, but I thought there'd be some step-by-step walkthrough. My bad. ✋🏾
i had the same feeling early in March when i started. Now guess what, by watching easy to learn tutorials and practicing at least 3 hrs a day, I am moving forward. Dont give up. you can do it
Start as slowly as you need to and practice, practice, practice. It gets easier over time. At first, just practice with your right hand, before adding notes with your left hand. Muscle memory lives!
Wow! Love how the essential fingerpicking techniques were covered in under 5 min. I'll just have to review all patterns again. Would be helpful if they could all be written down in the description.
***** Man, you have _no idea_ how much appreciate that, you've done me a great service... I wanted to reply myself, but, wisdom stopped me... It's better that it came from someone else. Much appreciated, mate.
I opened this video way back in 2016 when I was beginner ..I didn't understand a single thing ..now surprisingly stumbled here again after 4 years ..My God i could understand what she is teaching even by closing my eyes 😂😂...try harder never give up after some years you will be like yo man sungha Jung is a noob 😂 just motivating u guyz no offense to sungha 🙌🏻
What? she taught you how to do it and she demonstrated it, it's not showing off. What do you want her to do talk about how to do it and not show the results of what she taught. Get a brain and then come back, I'm a beginner and learned how to do it if you can't see that she taught it then you're probably a little bit dumb.
+Angel Secrett See the part 2 of this. Its explains much more. Also, if you want to see what notes she is playing, you can slow the video to 0.5x speed :)
Very interesting! It's my first time learning that you could substitute the string number for PIMA. It is actually a bit easier to memorize the string order using PIMA than numbers. Thank you!
I ran across this by accident, and very happy to see a breakdown of the pattern for Blackbird, which I've been learning. I don't feel you are going too fast. However, I would have liked to see your fretting hand, which is not fully in the frame starting at 4:07. Otherwise, very nicely done, thank you!
First of all I would say you are looking quite beautiful . The lighting of the studio and background also unique . But ... you are little bit fast for beginners I guessed . ✌️this time watching from Nepal 🇳🇵
I am glad Irene was not in the guitar studio I visited today or I would have spent money I did not have for a Cordoba Fusion 12 maple unit I fell in love with. The sound was so beautiful and the fret board was easy to play. Coming up with the $799 + tax was not in the picture today. I love her video she is so good at explaining and playing.
I have difficulty playing finger-style with long fingernails (steel strings). Maybe we have to learn that way. I don't feel like I can "feel" the strings. This sounds very nice.
I think in order to play well this, we need to know as well how you move the left hand, fingers in guitar bar. the right hand lesson is clear and it a wonderful techniques to use. Thank you for this video.
Very well articulated. A bit fast for most beginners. But good. I am hardly a classical player myself. I do play guitar- just not classical. As with any instrument- it is good to take on a professional instructor and learn all you can. Cheers to all.
It took about 2 years to really develop thumb independence. It may have come easier to others, but I really practiced. Took lessons, which I highly advise. I don't live in Nashville or Kentucky so if was not easy to find a ring it took me over 2 years to develop thumb independence. Anyone can do this, but it takes dedication. It's not for quitters. But it's worth it! If you are really serious, try to find a guitar teacher that can handle fingerstyle. It helps to have someone critique your playing. If you don't live in Kentucky or Nashville, it can be hard to find a teacher familiar with fingerstyle guitar.
If I could go back to when I first started learning guitar, I'd learn this way with classical and then advance to electric with a pick. Alas, I did not do this and now feel like an idiot without a pick in my hand.
I've been playing for 35 years. Always wanted to learn fingerstyle WAY better than what I've been doing. This is the perfect speed for someone like me. But for others, probably a bit much.
She didn't make a clear purpose for this video. the only things i get in this video is useful patterns , and nothing else i understood. yet still very helpful, i mean the patterns
Omg I thought this video was so extremely helpful and then I come to the comment section and see all of this negative people... get something better to do men and let the people who are interested in learning to actually LEARN and not criticize
If you believe that basic staff like arpeggios are showing off without even trying to play them ,then i would suggest not to start classical guitar... You just gave up on what people learn on the 2nd year of guitar playing... And to be good enough you got to play at least 10-15 years. Also... You cannot play classical guitar without nails, you will be able to play some easy pieces but arpeggios and tremolo need nails. They give you uncomparable tone clarity ,speed and grip of the guitar.
Thanks very helpful. Great explanation and demonstration. Over the years I've tried long and short nails, is short out of the question for finger style?
Uh Oh, I didn't realize until I got home that I bought a flamenco guitar! Kind of funny actually. I really like it but if I really want to learn classical, I guess I should not keep it, right?
You can play whatever you want on it! You might want higher action so that you don't get the percussive flamenco string buzz. That's built into the construction of the GK Studio, but you can adjust the amount of relief in the neck as well as adjust the saddle. You might also like the GK Studio Negra, because the rosewood back and sides will give you a bassier and deeper tone, more similar to a classical guitar. The GK Studio has cypress back and sides for that bright, snappy, flamenco tone. Hope that helps!
+Cordoba Guitars hi.. Do you think learning classical guitar at the age of 30 is a good idea? My friends keep telling me its too late for the hands to learn. Im confused. Please help.
For all people complaining, there are only 4 fingers used, and they're all from the same hand. If you're lost, it's the hand on the same side than the leg of the same side. And if you're still lost, it's because you have to use a little bit of your brain. I'll give you an insider tip only known from very advanced guitarists. There is a button called "Pause" on the video: click on it before training. And if still lost, stop trying to learn to play guitar, try frizbee... though you still gonna need to use one hand. PS: The letters given are to locate your fingers, not to find a word. And for the very spoiled brats complaining, pull the " i " out of your nose, it'll be much easier LoL argggh you sad people!
Great reply William !!:-))) And for those who do not know, the right hand is the hand where the thumb stands on the left side. Great video in anyway, and respect for the Lady.
