I first heard this song over 50 years ago while in college. I sang it to myself while going to and taking my biochemistry final exam (one of the hardest classes). It got me through it with a smile and an A+ at the end. I always thought about those fish and the need for good bait. Thanks for making it accessible. Still smiling to play and sing it.

Thanks!!! I'm determined to learn this. I've been playing for almost 30 years (I'm 44) but at some point in my mid twenties I felt I was "good enough", I can solo pretty well. Variations on travis picking. Know lots of theory and chords. But the nuances of this piece where the thumb keeps going while your other fingers do what they want, AND REMEMBERING all of this. I'm having a tough time with it so far. But I want to get a little better for the first time in my life in a long ass time. Thanks for the lesson. (funny, if you would have asked me in my late teens or early 20's I would have expected to be a really great guitarist by the time I was 30... Not sure what happened. Stopped practicing and rested on being "pretty good" at guitar. Now I'm just another one in a million other guitarists that's "kinda good").
