Molly Tuttle and Tommy Emmanuel acoustic masterclass 

Tommy subtly makes Molly the center of this event, and that in itself is actually a tremendously valuable “guitar lesson.” Respect.

I’ve never seen Tommy be less than 100% full of joy and enthusiasm when playing. Fantastic to watch.

Tommy Emmanuel has got to be one of the nicest human beings on the planet. The way he lets Molly shine is a lesson in humility. I had a huge smile on face all the through.

I had the good fortune to witness an outstanding show from these 2 in Shrewsbury last week. One thing I love about this video is the fact that there appears to be no ego from Tommy. The fact that he allows Molly more time to speak than himself is a credit to his character.

These two need to keep a fire extinguisher close by. That was absolute fire!

I couldn’t possibly count how many videos of Tommy I’ve watched over the years. No matter what he’s playing or who he’s playing with, I always catch myself with a smile within the first few bars of the song. Being a lifelong guitar player myself, there’s not many folks that have that effect on me. It’s a wonderful thing

How have I reached the age of 70 without knowing Molly Tuttle? OMG she is an absolute goddess. What a fantastic guitarist and what an incredible voice.

You’d expect that achieving total and complete mastery of the guitar would have given Tommy an ego, but no. Humble in the extreme, he always shifts attention and praise away from himself and to whoever he is playing with. What a good person, what a great heart.

Is there anything that Tommy can't absolutely blow the top off when playing, wow.

This women is an incredible guitar player.

Anyone who plays guitar knows just how good these two are. On electric, it's easy to be lazy and assisted by the amp, especially the more distortion and sustain you add. That Tommy plays almost exclusively acoustic is obvious, as he has some of the cleanest, quickest picking you'll ever see. First time seeing Molly, but her skill level is obviously very high. Great stuff, especially for beginners or intermediates.

Love seeing these videos with my guitar heros, both old and new. Im Australian, and Tommy was one of the few people I had to look up to. With no Ineternet in the early 1990s, I would see Tommy play on one of the 5 or so free to air TV channels available to us. Fast forward 30 years, and RU-vid has introduced me to artists like Molly, Billy Strings and more. To see Tommy play with these guys and girls is so good.

Tommy is awesome but he let Molly shine because she is stellar. You can see the admiration for her playing and singing in his face. Kudos to him for not trying to outshine her because it would only have made him look bad.

When I saw the remark "Insanely Good" I wasn't surprised because I knew Tommy Emmanuel as a genius guitar man... Now, when he played a duet with Molly Tuttle, whom I never knew before this very moment, I just got stunned at this performance... She really deserves to be entitled "The Queen Guitar Woman"... LOVE YOU BOTH...!!!

Molly is an absolute Rock Star! Beating the strings off that guit-fiddle with absolutely beautiful sounds. That voice is stunning. Just can't say enough about this young ladies talents. Tommy is a given for maximum output every time he plays and one of the top guitarist today. Thanks for this entertainment!

Yeah this is James from the states I must admit that I too am 73 and have been playing guitar for about 50 years and I have to say that it always blows me away how the young people can seem to just zoom past us who we thought were relatively good guitar players 40 years ago when we were comparing ourselves to people like Jimmy Page or Jeff Beck and I have to say now that there's no comparison to the new breed of players just out of sight. Hats off to them!

Tommy is such an artist, a character and a human being. Had a pleasure of watching him live on a concert with 20000 people. Afterwards, me and my friend waited for him to come out and sign a guitar. Not only did he sign it, but spent a good 20min chatting with the two of us. Love you Tommy, never change.

I got the privilege of seeing this force of nature, this self taught, modest, genius three times over about four years. He's so simple, honest, talented beyond any measure. If you can possibly see him - Do It.! You will never forget it!

I don't care who Tommy plays with. He's 100% class. Never outplays anyone. ❤

I've heard her name before, but I haven't heard Molly play before. I came to hear Tommy, but will definitely be watching for her going forward. Doc and Merle would be proud!

Love it all. Tommy has a rather large vocabulary of "chops" and is so wonderfully dedicated to making the music better in any way he can. Molly sings and plays beautifully🥰

I always noticed Molly picking hand is closed and Tommy’s is open. I hold my pick like Tommy. I tried closing my hand like Molly but just can’t do it. I saw her at a small coffee house in Charlottesville, Va. years ago when she only had her EP out. She was just awesome and easy to speak with👍🏻.

I have seen them each live. Tommy once, and Molly 6x. I have the autographed ticket stubs in my wallet to prove it.They are both masters, and yet there are things they can learn from each other. These two rubbing elbows, teaching, and learning from each other could change guitar as we know it. Molly has Tommy playing with a flat-pick, and she is passing on the Clawhammer too. My brain will melt when I see Molly start playing percussion on her guitars. Tommy is one of the most engaging performers I've ever seen on a stage. He is a one man show most of the time, and he holds the room in his hand all night. I am so hoping that this is just a warmup for an American Tour! Molly, please bring Tommy home to "The Guild" next time you are here.

Absolute Masters. Very few can come close to this level of playing. I wish more guitar players would pick up on Bluegrass cause its really the happiest forms of music, It makes ya smile and makes ya wanna get up and jump around, spin around and clap your hands and stomp your feet. With my 10 years of playing guitar I still can not understand how Molly can use the pick smoothly without anchoring her pinky finger on the pickguard for the accurate strings picking. Impressive…

I watch my uncle finger pick. Amazed me. Guitar of course. Then flat picking became rage. He switched over to banjo instinctly

I can only wish: a) to see them play together or, b) see them play solo or, c) had one/quarter of their skill. Love them both!

A couple of legends here. Tommy’s musical vocabulary is immense, but here I slightly prefer Molly’s note choices. That’s just to my ears though…it’s all well played.

Tommy Emmanuel or one of the 10 best guitarists in the world

Tommy's story is interesting. He comes from a town of about 10 000 people in rural News South Wales Australia, down the road from where I live. He wanted to be Chet Atkins and wrote to him Chet to his credit replied and the rest is history. He is very much an entertainer and had a pretty flash band with his late brother Phil in their younger days.

I have never enjoyed listening to acoustic guitar as much as I did during this video! SUPERB.

Some jam, Molly melts hearts with her natural play and vocals, Tom is just the backing duo.... hehe love it, claw hammer schooled I was!

Molly has that reverse ageing thing going on. What a great jam.

Great playing. And fun. On a technical note, it is interesting to compare picking actions. Tommy's wrist is much more solid and most of his picking action seems to come from the forearm and elbow. Molly's forearm is pretty anchored and most her picking comes from wrist movement. When they play leads. And then when they are doing rhythms it seems to reverse. Fascinating.

Two of the best, looking forward to seeing Molly for the first time in May, saw Tommy this past December with Jerry Douglas to boot. Any two great musicians can play well together but when there's great respect and just important, chemistry it makes for magic. These two have both of those qualities with each other and it shows!
