This new series is excellent, Christiaan. I've been playing rhythm along to your backing tracks with tips from your Q&A videos. How great it is to now have these invaluable lessons.
Thanks for posting, this is great. I learned All of Me early on with my straight-ahead jazz teacher, cool to see it played in gypsy jazz form! PS. Love the Altamira M! I managed to find a left-handed one to start my gypsy jazz journey with :)
Christiaan, in order not to hear strings 1 and 2, is it just that do not aim then with right hand, or do you also press them less than other strings with left hand?
why you prefer to play A7 5456xx nd not 5X565x ? I dont know but i thind the 3rd made in the A string in that chord makes it too 'busy'.. its hard to describe what i feel
@@ChristiaanvanHemert Ok, but Amoll 7 is not the same as D7, in the notation I see the amoll7 diagram, I understand that you can sometimes replace it with another amoll from the minor chord family e.g. Minor minor Moll6 / 9 minor 11 minor 7 / 9. Guitarists gypsy jazz often do not play Moll7 but Moll 6. Tell me if you did it just like that, I see you play 2 bars amoll6 and two bars D7 further dmoll7 etc. Regards.
