Thank you so much. I am a guitar player since childhood but if there was EVER a song I needed to play on piano it was this amazing and beautiful masterpiece.

Excellent. Thanks for this great work. A friend asked me if I could play this song immediately, but I couldn't. Your lesson was much more helpful than any sheet. Thanks again. Have a great time.

Отличная работа, Большое Спасибо!!) Маленькая деталь - если прислушаться слышно верхнюю ноту C в первом куплете, в живом выступлении он тоже ее выделяет.

Great lesson! I am struggling with the sustain pedal. Do you maybe have some tips? Thanks!

I started playing piano just 3 weeks ago. The way you explain it makes it really simple so thanks a lot for that! I just don't understand why you don't explain the most important signature bassline. Or did I miss it?

This is just so great! I just started out playing piano because I wanted to broaden my spectrum. I am doing a lot of scales and am learning how chords are build up. But I also want to learn songs to get to know the piano better. This is grade A stuff! If you have any tips for someone like me that comes from playing the guitar and already knows certain background of music theory I am all ears.

Being guitarist and not a keyboardist, I've always been curious why, unlike the guitar, no one has come up with a "left-handed" version of a keyboard for left-handers (of which I am one) .. i.e. going from the high notes on the left to the low/bass notes on the right, with the left hand playing the high notes and the right hand playing the low/bass notes. ?

Similarly, unlike with the 12-string guitar, no one has come up with a "double octave" piano .. I think actually harpsichords kinda had that sound to them, although I believe they don't truly play an accompanying "higher octave" with each key .. ? Would be a neat effect with an electric keyboard ..

Do you think you could do a tutorial for 'Ending: A Short Piece' by Yiruma? Or maybe 'Forest Fantasy' also by Yiruma?

So simple, yet beautiful -- sort of like a glorified version of Chopsticks,, for want of a better way of describing it. Seems anyone who really wants to play this piece should be able to ..

Wow! While you're thinking your way through the chords it leaves me confused at which chords and progression you're exactly going for. You should watch one of your videos and you should see what i mean. Kinda searching around and not kniowing the song strong before you teach it.

Do you have the sheet music?
@VirtualWoodshed
@VirtualWoodshed 8 лет назад
At the risk of offending you, why on earth would you need the sheet music?! He has showed you EXACTLY how to play the song here. Don't worry about that sheet music crutch and put those ears to work by learning it from the video! It might be tough at first but it will do wonders for your playing in the long run. Eventually you'll be able to learn songs right off of recordings by using just your ears!

+VirtualWoodshed I've been playing piano my whole life and read music I don't play by ear. I can sight read the song much easier than following this.
