Hey! I don't understand, I have the Complete version of the game installed from gog. But I can't seem to find the actual file where you put the Hota Setup next to. Any tips? I got this to work on my old computer but I don't remember how.
Just came back to this game after like 12 years. And all the good memories when have been playing, 5 ppl one PC, just coming back. Thx for your content really enjoying your YT and twitch channels. Cant wait for next video where you explain all the rules for online etc. Then I'll try to play it aswell
after playing this game since I was a kid. This is like an entirely new game now. I have no idea why I haven't done this after several hundred hours on the complete version on GOG.
I have already installed the GOG version, but I think its in a wrong place? can´t find the complete version when I try to download HOTA, and I have the complete version

Does the HOTA link still work? It appears to take me to the correct website, but when I try and download it, I get a browser warning/error saying that it has a Trojan virus. Is that right?
I have hota HD, but when I try to update it (I want to play the new Factory) it gives me an error saying "last update was incorrect". Is there a solution to it?
I bought the game, but im having difficulties to launch it. It says its not working since i have a chromebook, and its requiring windows. Do you have any tip to launch it any other way than buying another computer?

Question for you, or anyone here. Has anyone have an issue launching HotA? I installed it and was able to play it just fine last week. Just today though, the game would not launch for me. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. But my HotA would not luanch, only SoD/orginal HOMM3 would launch with the use of the launcher.
We're following your instructions and they are not working. The only thing you have they we don't have is an "Installation Guide" folder. Where did you get that? Is that something that's needed?

im getting a notification "my files are corrupted" and i need a new version of the files so what should i do? (i can still play but it wont update for some reason idk)
Do I need to install my GOG version of Homm3 Complete on a different drive or in another folder on C drive and THEN add HOTA in that folder so its not with ERA or WOG?

so i installedhota with the hd mod, yet on hota i don't get hd mod features like random town or rules settings. i deinstalled everything and reinstalled, yet the same problem remains. any solutions to this problem?

I want to play HoMM3 complete multiplayer. However, I much prefere how the steam version fits to my screen. In HOTA the townscreen window does not stretch out or fit correctly. Changing to 800x600 helps abit, but still not quite right. Is there a way to fix this? I have 27inch monitor
I have been playing hota for a while... The problem it it's in russian.... I can guess most pop ups and it doesn't effect gameplay but trying multiplayer it's way too much russian text.... Any way to fix this?
got a quick question, when i play hota and i go into a battle, my troops animations are super fast and it just makes the game so much enjoyable as battles are quickly fought. when i want to play sod and i choose the fastest animations its still super slow, is there a way to enable the animation speed from hota in sod?
Hey! There's the "Fresh mod" for SoD that makes many of the quality of life changes that are present in HotA be there for SoD, including the animation speed. I don't really remember how and where to get it tho, hopefully this leads you down the right track!
There are some usability mods you can use. To speed up combat animations grab this crAnim.txt file and put in in your data folder.(C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete\Data) If you are not good with remembering what lot/hordes/throngs etc. mean, grab the arraytxt.txt (en)and put it in the same folder. "Lots" will show as "Lots (20-49)", "Horde" will show as "Horde (50-99)" and so on.
Great content. Unfortunately I am one step ahead. It is very hard to start playing that game even I have long experience with single player and watching many streams. What I missed to play? I don't know how to create a game with selected template, how to add templates, how and when to save/load the game - is it after blue turn or red or doesn't matter. I don't know useful shortcuts like map "net", splitting units etc. Why I am asking for save/load? I cannot to spend 4h in a row to play ;(. I would like to start with JC. Looking forward also for "Heroes" Tier list :)
Hey man, thanks for this. I manage to install and run it but when I try to create a game it asks me to get blessed, playing standard, Hota works. What do I need to do? I tried to bless some random guy in the lobby and it doing nothing, just minimizing the game.
The online SoD lobby requires you to subscribe, which you can do by donating to Baratorch, lobby founder. The subscription is called 'bless'. HotA lobby is free, and if you want to play SoD you can do single player for free.
after doing all according to instructions I still can't see JO or JC maps in the list of scenarios. What could be the reason? Can some1 advise? P.S. I've downloaded the templates and put it in correct folder
They will not appear in scenarios, you have to go to random maps imgur.com/a/wxittwr . Jebus Outcast is not installed by default so you gotta download it from here www.h3templates.com/mkc/jebus-outcast
This smooth movement animation is really cool but it stops working once i set my resolution to at least 1870x1052. Previous res doesnt look that well on 2k monitor, is there a way to adjust settings to fix that?
I have Gog version and play online on GameRanger. From time to time I get problem "receiving map headers from host..." and game wont start. I always play with one person and we dont change anything. It just happens this problem sometimes and then next day it fixes itself and doesnt happen.... what the hell is this problem? thanks
Thanks for this video, it took me 4 days to get this game running googling info and installing and uninstalling the game,had multiple problems, which most of were fixed when I got the GOG galaxy version of the game and installed the HD Mod, now after watching this video I finally managed to install the HotA mod. thanks.
Lexi, hope you still read this old video comments. My game have reeeeeeally slow battle animations, and doesn't give me an in game option to speed it up. Pleeeease help me
Hey! If you play HotA then you can just toggle the animation speed in the in game menu. If you're playing Shadow of Death/Complete then you can use HD Launcher along with SoD-SP plugin. This does not work with the Steam version of the game btw. SoD-SP: heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=44581 HD Launcher: sites.google.com/site/heroes3hd/ If you have/get HotA, then HD Launcher comes along with it, and you can use it with any version of the game.
