Mine would also be intonation. Interesting how he said other senses help intonation, not just hearing. Lots of great tips.

For me it would be to hold and use the bow properly. Playing in tune is already going good for me and I have only had my violin for 8 weeks today. I suppose that is because I am left handed. I know that I am using it correctly in one way that I am using the bow parallel to the bridge and in the middle of the fingerboard and the bridge but holding it properly is my problem.

I play in the community orchestra too and there have been times when it's loud and we're up high where I literally can't hear anything and I really do get paranoid because I don't know what pitch I am on. I can't hear a thing! Are there any tips about that?

Well, yes and no, haha! In an orchestra often times you can't hear yourself, so your finger must know where to go. However with a lot of orchestra experience this comes. It's hard to simulate this in practice room. Perhaps by playing along with a recording as you mentioned in one of your other comments.
