Last year, starting the college, I notice that my ADHD was kicking my ass harder than what I think it could, now I know that I have serious problems with the ADHD and also that it have been causing me a big trouble learning scales, and dang, learning a new open scale it's being very difficult, I just can not memorize more than 3 frets of notes, because when I do, I try to learn the other part of the scale and then I forget the first fucking part, it's been years fighting with it. By the way, using the same scale but in other key it's being a very big fat ass punch in the face to me

How to play like derek trucks: be really fucking good at slide guitar.

Derek trucks is very very hard to emulate men

Step One put the slide on the right finger!

Great lessons however wish you wouldn't use that guitar as it is really difficult to follow as your fret markers are not noticeable as you have a crazy vine inlays.

i was annoyed at the video title b/c no one can play like derek trucks except derek trucks. but you are nice so it's ok.

There is a very specific thing he is doing that makes his sound that you don't straight forwardly elucidate. Not a fan.

Love your tone! No need for a 2500$ guitar to sound good. Way to go! But remember, no one can sound like Derek Trucks. Not even close, only pale copies. So your title is misguiding. You can't learn or explain someone else's voice , spirit, tallent and experience in a 4 minutes vidéo. Playing like him is not a simple recipe. Anyways, great playing and vidéo! Peace bro!
