Absolutely perfect timing in my sub box with this one. Was pretty stoked on all the gameplay I've seen but this is a bit more of a hurdle then I was expecting, at least compared to other foreign titles. Think I'll wait for a western release and continue to live vicariously through others. Thanks for the guide and insight Fevir!

these days many Chinese people is access to Lost Ark. and they are using illegal programs. (ex, Macro, illegal tuning client, queue ignore program etc,,) so game company had cut the VPN use player. so if you are can't play Lost Ark, i hope please understand this situation. from S.Korea player

is there a way to lock FPS to 60. somehow FPS goes from 50 to 80 and GPU use only 50% 70% i have a GTX1070 laptop

I had to add Chrome browser to Exitlag...All of the Smilegate/LA pages were getting blocked for me. Not sure if anyone else had that problem, but once I did that, it worked.

I live in Japan and my ping is fucking amazing to South korea roughly 20-40 ms. Pretty excited. I remember playing TERA for the first time in america on both (Korean and Japan) servers. It was a whole lot of fun especially when the NA version came out. Flew past everyone in levels day one

The first step is what's stopping me. Don't like the idea of Korean phone/SS info sharing. Guess I'll just have to wait...hope they decide to bring this to the West! Can't wait! Been super excited for Lost Ark since It's announcement.

@Fevir Can you do a video on how to register for an account with a korean phone number. My friend is asking his cousin in korea to mail me an active sim card. I try going to the registration link from the onstove download page but i dont see a button to move forward after clicking on the terms and agreement. The page has overlapping text from the text translation.

Btw....I tried Mudsuck(Mudfish) and paid for data, and I could not get any connection. Was very disappointed. Was ready to give up. I watched another video about getting the game running, and the creator of the video had posted in the comments in reply to someone saying that they were having problems with Mudfish, that Mudfish was not able to connect to LoskArk due to all the traffic. This person suggested to try Exitlag or NordVPN. Sooo... I decided to try NordVPN as well, and it connected flawlessly! So much easier to use than Mudfish. But the downside is that it's much more expensive if you only want to pay monthly.

If they wanted to it would be out tomorrow in full english. Most Koreans speak english fairly well. The issue is servers. The devs need to find a publisher in NA with established servers. Its a huge red tape mess for a Korean company to purchase land and build a building to hold game servers and have someone maintain those servers. This is why foreign games have different publishers in different regions. Korean developers spend a lot of time finding the right publisher to handle their game. They do not want it miss represented. Hopefully they don't choose poorly. Example: Trion

The game is very cool, but I am clueless on many aspects of things. Being a long time gamer, I can figure out basic stuff, but not knowing what all the different consumables are is a pain. Some game systems aren't easy to figure out either. Would love to join an English speaking server! Since the list is in Korean, I just joined the first one I thought would be ok. I did ask in chat if anyone spoke English, and 1 person responded. They asked me what country I was in and what my ping was, and I decided not to respond. I thought thye might be fishing for info to report me and get my banned since I am in the USA. It's cost me $50 bucks to get the game up and running. One other thing I would love, is to be able to buy some in game currency so i can get a Founders pack/mount. I checked out the Stove cash shop, and it's not possible. Need a Korean mobile phone, or credit card. No Paypal which stinks. I would have tried that.

This game is like gamling.. there was a reverification wave just the other day that forced non-korean players to be locked out. Also, its recommended to download the game files from a different source and use the stove client for updating only. Download with vpn is slow and tends to disconnect often.

Yeah - it's risky to buy and use an account you don't actually control or have access to. Downloading the Stove client externally is a good idea if you're using a bad VPN or paying for data. I just had let it download overnight and had no issues - when you use external files you can end up having weird corrupted file issues among others. :(

Considering what we know about these kinda games, and the trailers shown (esp recent one) it seems more likely than not that it will come to the west. Worst case scenario that it doesn't, although more time consuming, it will still be playable using guides like this that will become easier, cheaper and other programs that can translate everything in game. The modern internet is very adaptable!

So you need to pay for an account and a vpn service, and at the end of the day it will cost you like a fking triple A title just to enter into a full korean game where you don't even know if you will be able to play smoothly with no lag or weird issues. I think I'm gonna pass, and wait for a possible EU release, thank you very much.

After I've seen your video, I decided to give a try (thank you) but before I did the purchases, the English Discord has started to notify people that the game started doing Re-Verification on the accounts again. Which means, that is a NO for me after all.... Unless you have a real Korean friend then you're F.

@@Embreh89 There's an early version of an English patch on the LA Discord (invite link: discordapp.com/invite/yU9QxXV). Check the section "announcements" for a download link, and make sure to follow the instructions closely as they warn that using it wrongly can result in a ban.

Being in 'full vpn' doesnt even sound like a problem to someone who doesn't use it, it sounds like Fevir was just stating his experience. To think that somehow that was a dig at the program is idiotic. If he was gung-ho for a sponsorship he'd have cut all the VPNs from the video except exitlag.
