I started playing guitar about two years ago and i took lessons and could barley play a G chord by the time my lessons finished. Then i found you and now i am play full hard rock songs. I couldn't have accomplished it without you. Thank You Marty

Hi Marty, I wanted to share my story with you. Firstly, I want to mention that I am very happy to see that now you have your own channel and website. So, around 5 years ago, when this song got stucked in my head, I watched your previous tutorial which was so good that it made me eager to play it on guitar. Also, watching Kurt play in the Nirvana Unplugged drived my passion for guitar. A friend of mine had a guitar on which I started playing the solo of this song, whenever I used to meet him, as I could not even afford a guitar at that point of time. As I played on, it would make me play even more and I tried to do my best with the chords as well. Then 2 years later I got my own guitar. Now I am so good at it that I can play almost any song that I want to play. I will forever be grateful to you and Nirvana for turning me into a musician. It was a dream that came to reality. Started learning guitar this school year. I learned roughly all my strings and how to read tabs in about 2 weeks. Learning how to play hammering notes now and my teacher suggested tapping and dragging but I found it a lot easier but more painful sliding. Learning this song for my first in class performance. Thank you.

Small mistake, during the chorus, after the first c# it goes to f instead of c for that little vocal break, you can hear the bass playing the f scale instead of c there

if you see kurt play the unplugged version you can see he plays a hammer-on, not a slide, but a slide sounds very close to it so either way should be good

Just do every nirvana song if possible I just bought a boss ds-1 distortion pedal for nirvana and I need more songs so like on a plain unplugged and album version please that'd be great

This is more in line with what pat was playing in the back Kurt was playing mostly power chords from what I noticed while watching the performance but good lesson!

Just want to ad if your newer instead of the slide a hammer on the third fret is much easier on your fingers. Kurt plays it this way as well.

For the first strumming part, after the opening, go bar chord for the F, then you can hold your middle finger down when you go into the D.

the chorus bass scale goes 3x on c then once f to c-sharp bar...then back to f once then c once then c sharp bar and back to slide/hammer riff.......i noticed marty did it the wrong way round! peace :)

Dm, A, F, C, Dm, then on the G string 2_3 then scales of 2,3,5 and 1,3,4. Then you can use split finger power cord to the 10, 8, and 7. Pretty simple but, complex with the chord change up. Great lesson though.

Hey marty awesome lesson as usual, happy to see you update this one. I was wondering if you know any System of a Down. Im currently learning "Hypnotize" but I can only get the intro down, the rest seems to be just power chords but I can't get it. Hope you can make a lesson on it
