RULES:
The object of the game is to have the most stones in your mancala at the end. Lay out the board widthwise between 2 players. The smaller holes in the board are called pockets and the 2 larger ones are called mancalas.
Each player controls the 6 pockets on their side of the board and the mancala to their right. Place 4 stones into each pocket, color doesn’t matter. Pick a player to go first then turns alternate.
On your turn, pick any one of your 6 pockets and take all the stones out and deposit them, one at a time, into neighboring pockets in a counterclockwise direction around the board until you run out. If you pass your own mancala, then place 1 stone in it. If you pass your opponent’s mancala, then skip it. If your last stone is deposited into your own mancala, then you get to take another turn.
If your last stone is placed into one of your empty pockets, then you get to immediately place that stone, alone with every stone across from that pocket in your opponent’s pocket, into your mancala. You do not do this for placing your last stone in one of your opponent’s empty pockets.
The game ends at the end of a player’s turn when all 6 pockets for either player are empty. Then the player with the most stones in their mancala wins!
