I've been wanting to make this guide for a while now. Since MBON does not offer a proper tutorial on how to play and can be quite a task to learn the controls as someone starting. I hope this Basic tutorial in 2021 can help you out and anyone new looking to get into the GUNDAM VS series. Never noticed the red arrows for melee, thanks for the tutorial. A lot of stuff I knew, but other fine details, such I that, I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the tutorial man!

My husband and I got the game on a whim and after playing a few rounds this finally helped us understand what was going on finally hahaha

As someone who fell in love with Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus, this game was a must buy. It’s still a bit different than GvG though so I welcome the refreshing feeling of the game, as well as the super smooth gameplay and awesome graphics.

Thanks ive trying to understand this for years back when i played it in Japan in the arcade. Now its on PSN and im still getting beat but at least i know how to play a little better thanks

I'm tired of Gundam games being made without a tutorial. Not even a practice to get you used to things. Smh

Super high learning curve, seems to be what Japanese gamers prefer. Makes the game feel more rewarding when you yourself have to figure it out rather than have it explained. From software games also explain very little, and offer little guidance. Persona games as well can be confusing. I don't want my hand held through the first hour of every game I play but I also don't want to be thrown to the wolves the way Japanese game devs tend to do.

@@tbomb2265 , I actually like persona games; I've never felt confused by them. It's mostly mecha games like Super Robot Wars that stump me. Btw, thanks for the explanation; it gives me a reason to want to enjoy these games more, I guess. For me, the greatest problem is, there are only 24 hours in a day and a whole lot of games. I don't want to spend my time learning something I might not like.

@@tbomb2265I tried to get into Persona 3 and 4 but they're so different from more traditional JRPGS that they threw me off. I might give them another try down the line though but maybe they're just not for me. Xenoblade is another one I tried to get into but just couldn't.
