Omg if yall cant read the rules and learn how to play a game made for children maybe you shouldint be playing. How to play monopoly 1: Read the rules. 2:Thats it.
In childhood, I played this game just for fun, but at that time I didn't realize that this will help me a lot in the future. It actually builds a business mindset and teaches you all lessons that people learn in real dealing. I recommend children play this game as much as they can, realize, and learn the tactics to be the game's wealthiest person.
My son loves this game but we haven't been playing the right way! The instructions are hard to follow so I'm watching RU-vid videos to make sure we play correctly
At what part does someone yell an obscenity then flip the table? Seems to happen at a lot of my Monopoly games but couldn't find it in the book. Must be a house rule.
Thanks for showing us this. The manual can be quite confusing and videos make it quite easy, fun, and fast to learn. Thank you for making these videos. Highly appreciated
As kids I remember playing monopoly when we would start the game making the bank bankrupt -i.e. divide all of the printed cash equally amongst the players so that everyone freely buys anything upon landing. And the game ends on any of the following cases: we get bored, we get hungry, we get angry, we dose off.😀
Played the game yesterday for the first time. The manual that came with the game had too much info, too overwhelming for me. This video really helped to understand the game. Thank you.
Seriously? If you cannot understand a game made for *CHILDREN* Mabye you should not be playing it or read the rules. Come on or write them down its super simple. Even a 5-6 year old can play correctly. Smh.
@@chernoalpharussianmademark3716 yeah, a 5,6 years old can play the game if he's been introduced to the game that early and someone else has explained it to him. For, someone like me who hadn't even heard of the game until recently and only had the manual as a guide which was in a foreign language, of course it wouldn't be as easy as you make it sound. Don't judge people too quickly.
@@nbo8644For most people, they play wrong by adding house rules. For example, a rule where you get 400 instead of 200 dollars if you land on go even though that’s not in the official rules.
What's with Indian comments EVERYWHERE.. Option A - "Like" Option B - "Comment" Obviously, it's MUCH easier to Like (one-click) vs. Thinking of and Writing an intelligent comment. You'll ALWAYS have more Likes. For example, here, you have 66 Likes, and my comment still only makes it only 3 comments.
@@DanHeather why the frick are you wasting time just to type a comment that hate of others instead of just liking? there is no point to point out others unless you want to be the person getting the hate instead of getting the attention. No need to give hate to others. Just pass on by the comment section.
Me: After six years of playing monopoly, I finally understand the rules. Also me: Ah, screw it. Too many rules *Goes back to playing the way I normally play*
Show them this How To play with official game rules website. Link: www.wikihow.com/Play-Monopoly (It has Images to show them but make sure they are not blind Xd jk).
My variation: The game ends in 15, 20 or 25 turns(depending on what you agree on). After that IF there is more then one player who hasn’t gone bankrupt, the surviving players collect the rent from the bank from the properties they owned one last time. The richest player after counting all their cash wins. You must pay rent when you land on an opponents space. It doesn’t matter if the owner asks for rent or not. Here are the rules on the final turn: No more Un-mortgaging or trading can be made. Players simple roll their dice and collect rent or bonuses from Chance and/or community chest cards and Passing Go. You can obtain properties from other players WITHOUT TRADING. Here’s how: First, Land on a property an opponent owns. Then, look at the current rent. Next, pay the listed price of the opponent’s property PLUS DOUBLE the current rent to the BANK and you can snag their properties! And yes, this can also work on a complete set, but it’s risky.
The game is really interesting, challenging and some real life situations. However, the game goes long and is a bit hard as you need to understand every single rule.
3:17 I honestly had no idea free parking is no action. How I played when I was a kid = (1) The Middle of the broad gets $500 from bank. (2) All jail fees got paided in the middle of the broad everytime, (3) Any time theres a luxury Tax or Card that states you owe money goes to the middle unless stated it goes to bank. Then who ever hits free parking collects all the money and then the bank puts another $500 to the middle. Free Parking was like a Jackpot.
we play the rule when you land on free parking, you get the cash from the middle, from taxes or getting out of jail and community chest/ chance card. :)
I looked at the rule book and it actually says, if you land on a property space that someone owns, you have to pay, but if they don’t tell you to pay before the next player rolls the dice, it’s forgotten!
question: on a card, it said rent $14, 1 house $70, 2 houses $200, 3 houses $550. what does it mean? if you have one house on that property, if another land on that property, you collect $70 if you own one house on that property?
1. Do you have to land on the same property a second time to upgrade the houses? Or is it an action that can be taken at any time during your turn. 2. Is it true that you don't have to pay rent if you land on a property that the owner is on at the same time? 3. Can you mortgage a property at any time? Even when you're not bankrupt but do it for the sake of getting more funds for houses
1. Actually, you can upgrade your houses anytime you wish, even if it's not your turn, at least, in the version I have. 2. No, that is not true. Whether or not the owner of the property you landed on is on the said property, you must pay them rent. 3. Yes, you can mortgage any time you want to earn a bit of cash early in the game.
i,ve played monopoly my whole life ..... and when we and my homies land on a house we just buy an hotel directly and i still dunno what the train do and when i hit three doubels i still pay myself 200$ also we dont know how to win
We cant buy a hotel , before buying all the 4 houses🙇 And the train does nothing ,no. Of trains we own = × amount of money we get We win if every other player gets bankcurrupt
explain properly u start 1500 hp, then move an fortify castle, enemy land on castle does damage. banker is monster lord or summet. aim to reduce enemy hp in different combat zones right?
Monopoly is quite fun if you play by the rules. People say that the game lasts forever but it only lasts that long if you put money in the center of the board and give free money to whoever lands on free parking.
I play it that makes sense to me and my friends so I compromise and forget about Auctions and Mortgage as there "fancy words" and need visual guidance due to autism. Thankfully played for hours and so much fun.
I love my dad, i wanna play monopoly for my family but i also don't want to be spoiled and make him buy monopoly and i would rather get a hamster than a monopoly and I'm being spoiled again by this comment and now I'm gonna stop typing.
I heard there's a version where you can play with a Community Chest which everyone pays money into over the course of the game until one person wins the whole thing. Was wondering if that's in the official rules.
They're just another type of property, which are bought, auctioned, and traded the same way as regular properties. Their rent depends on a dice roll. If you land on either one of these two, and it is owned by another player, roll the dice again to decide rent. If that player owns only one of the two, then rent is 4x what you rolled. If he owns both the electricity and water, then the rent is 10x the roll.
