How the hell did I end up here...

As someone born in 1983 USSR, the first monopoly game that I knew was a soviet reapoff of the game that was called: "Manager" Yes all the properties on the board, were government properies with zero irony.

As somebody who was born in an ex soviet state, I can approve the gone missing card. My great grandfather disappeared, had to work at a coal mine and somehow managed to find his family hundreds of kilometers away. Great times, great times

i know this was 3 years ago but i like that dom guy’s communopoly where rolling a 1 under any circumstances makes you ‘disappear’. you can’t have more than 1000 ruples go to jail, and you ‘disappear’ when destitute and in jail. being destitute sends you to jail.

I was watching this video and then my neighbor came over, and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. If you wanted to make this non-satirical, you could make one of the state properties "where you live" and if you land on it, you get to hide one of your rebellion cards. And if you got in the gulag, you could get out through military service, where you roll the dice. If you roll a double, you get out, except if you roll a 12, you die. You could also make one of the cards a search warrant, which you have to use within 3 turns, or you lose it, but if you use it and then land on an opponent's house, you get to investigate them, where you pick one of their hidden cards randomly, to get them in the gulag. Corruption could then be replaced with the October labor lottery, and if you land on it, you are selected to run the East Grestin border checkpoint and have to go play Papers Please for the rest of the day.

If i had a nickel for everytime i watched a video on communopoly id have 2 nickels. Which isnt a lot but its weird that its happened twice

I enjoyed this. I found it by looking up "communism monopoly" after seeing the socialist monopoly. I was actually trying to find a communist monopoly that was not a criticism and instead an educational tool, but it's fitting that the one you made is a satire as that's essentially what monopoly is for capitalism. I also appreciated how you acknowledged the history of monopoly and your humor.

I would actually love to pull this version out at a party just to see the reactions.

You should have added a way for one player to "become the state" for a few turns and maybe build some wealth or power and build on the board before another player removes them by poison or some other action. Really cool game

I love Monopoly. I live in Germany and in schools we have so called AGs which stands for "Arbeitsgemeinschaft", basically "Working group". These are after the school and voluntarily. In my AG we were playing many different games and had a fun time. One day my teacher decided that we could make a version of a game we like by ourself as a project of the AG. So we agreed on Monopoly. My teacher gave us a square of chipboard, cardboard colours and brushes an we began designing our own Monopoly. Some were cutting and drawing the cards with the street names on it from the cardboard, others were drawing lines on the chipboard to mark were wich street is and others started painting it. We put the names of the streets we lived in on the board and wrote our own event cards. The figures were made of polymer clay. We had much fun and a great time doing this. I loved Monopoly before but this was a moment when I started liking it even more.

I'm glad you used Ms Monopoly to make this. You took something actually sexist and made it into a better experience for comrades and capitalist pigs alike to enjoy. Well done.
