Maracas are a super tool, there are many varieties of them, although many people think that they are just rattles. I was particularly struck by the Colombian maracas, they are the biggest and the way the masters masterfully handle them is simply amazing.

to answer your question because it seems the author didn’t understand it, the high pitched maraca is held in the right hand and the low in the left. If you’re dominant hand is left then invert it. The higher pitch one is the one most commonly used for phrasing and “repiques” hope this helps.

Добрый день, маракасы должны быть одинаковые. Можно выровнить между ними наполнитель, пересыпав из тяжёлого в легкий, так они будут правильнее звучать.

Там после снятия декоративных гвоздиков под ними обнаружилось еще 2 плоских пластины, вбитых в ручку западлицо, сидящих плотно и фиксирующих чашу. Вся конструкция выглядит малопригодной к разборке. Поэтому и возник вопрос... Оба маракаса без видимых признаков внешнего вмешательства. Но по весу разница значительная. Звук тоже, естественно, в одном чуть басовитей... Хотя если его в сильную долю запускать, как-то даже сочно звучит. Вот и думай.... пересортица или задумка конструкции....

@@YumOboz да, интересный случай. Иногда такой прием с разными звуками в руках используется, например в одной руке caxixi а в другой шейкер. Получается интересная фактура, дополнительный акцент к шейкеру.
