This is one of the best explanations of playing PLO I've heard. I've only started to get a little less crappy at Omaha lol. I like how he's explains different hand strength betting. How important position is and pretty much everything you need to know as a new player to get started in some free roll games at least.

The worst thing about PLO is when you're playing it regularly you won't be able to play Holdem. Cause simply you don't have the patience to wait for good hands, It is also very different in terms of odds so it's better to stick with PLO

Thanks for this informative video. Please check the Audio quality and maybe work on the volume and how the sound is heard. The sound quality isn't no were near what it could and should be.

My favorite thing about PLO are the instances when folding the nuts is actually the right play. You get to check the BB with AJ67 no suits; flop is 589 with two spades. You check, first player bets pot, second player re-pots, and another player calls. Just fold the nuts. If you're up against a set and a flush draw you're an equity dog, and there's such a huge chance you're already drawing only to a chop you just get out. I made basically that fold once at a home game, showing one of my buddies as I folded it. Dude thought I was crazy until the turn when it got all-in and someone had flopped the same straight with the nut flush draw.

Basically you can only win with a flush, a straight or if you're lucky a full house?

When you were talking about stealing pots when a flush hits board and you have the Ace, yes it’s a great way to steal but only in bigger games.. all the 1/2 2/4 I’ve played.. you can put someone all in on the river when the river brings out the flush and they will call with 9 high + I would say more often than not. Especially if they had say a straight with back door flush and it hits on river.. they will donk off in 1/2 games for sure

I just start playing PLO, what I really notice is, when the board paired, any player should be really aware with their straight or flush draw since a full house is quite possible even full house vs full house and when the board trips, that’s even more dangerous

Watched the 5 hour high stakes game just recently with Tony G, Gus Hanson and the infamous Krocodile. lol. I always associated 'pot limit' with 'limit hold em' so I never really gave it much thought. After watching PLO, I think I'd like to give it a shot.

I literally hop in to first PLO in my life just for giggles to switch off from holdem. Didin't have a clue what is going on so i watched this video while learning to play. 2682 players and came 31th. Another Omaha video that's aimed at teaching you all wrong.. I wish there was strategies to Omaha, but it's just so goddamn fucking goddamn random.. I wish strategy helped, but it doesn't seem to, most of the time, and I'm often the only one folding, getting bitched at for raising pre flop, and never winning, but I'm trying the Big limit game, until I loose my last $1,000 to my name, then hopefully getting the fuck away from poker for another decade! It's just a tough way to try and make a dollar.. I just seen idiot bingo work so much better than strategy.. I really wish strategy helped, but it hardly seems to factor in the magnitude of what you'd hope it does.. I'm hoping to win, but I don't fuck with no limit; just hope to find a good job, work, come home, go to bed, repeat, and repeat..

I played my first omaha game against 12 players and I won the tourney,, really fun.

I just made a organic transition to PLO it came naturally I could never find a good book or strategy guide I just kinda understood the odds better than most I'm not a pro by any means but I'm a solid player what are some ways I can take my game to the next level any recommendations??? Or just keep playing and seeing hands and learn from experience??

New to this game. Why is AAJT better than AAKQ or AAQJ?

I was just watching an old (posted Jan 2017) Joey Ingram video on how you tried to win a hand against Trickett (calling a max river bet with your nut low flush vs Sam's nut flush), in which Joey basically said you have no understanding of PLO, played it like a NLTH hand and fucked up on every street. This video was in the side bar of recommendations, presumably because AI is so advanced these days that YT's algorithms have somehow managed to evolved a sense of deadpan irony. (disclaimer: Other than understanding the rules, I have no idea about starting hands in PLO, which to me seems like a game for degens who like being variance's bitch)

There are a few components to poker secrets online. One plan I discovered which successfully combines these is the card crusher fixer (check it out on google) definately the most incredible guide i've seen. look at all the interesting information .

Maybe you are familiar with the deep blue's computer that beat the greatest chess players and also recently beat the best starcraft 2 players (alpha star computer). My question is what are your chances to beat the best computer player mankind has ever made in texas holdem?. @4:10. Not technically true. Bad aces (AA52 rainbow) are actually behind great rundowns (in this example 6-9, 7-10 and 8-J double suited) preflop. That being said you are never folding because even if they showed you that hand you'd be getting the right odds it's so close.

Shit the equities are tricky in Omaha. By the way, any tip on working out Equity quickly in Hold 'Em? The 2/4 rule with improvements is really good but still I find it slow (for multitabling anyway). How do the Pros do it? Do you memorize situational tables like Flush Draw on the Flop vs Set. Thank you.

Playing a short stack with an eye towards multi-way pots can work. The idea is to get AI vs dead money or at least 2 opponents with premium runner hands. If you (~min) 3 bet, and figure any pot-sized 4 better likely has AAXX, it's still worth shoving with 8765 (or similar) and getting heads up with dead money in play, or vs 2+ callers.
