I manage to apply his tips to most of my brass instruments actually, even tho my main is percussion. I might need to play taps sometime so being prepared is always a good idea.
Then there is me trying to play treble clef on Tenor Trombone, and somewhat succeeding (so far, managed to get up to C5 as a peak, but working on getting G4, A4, and Bb4)
I just started playing trumpet and my issue is that I don't sound good until I get above G, but I can go up to high C-E with relative ease and pretty good tone - idk if its because of how my lip shapes for trombone but it feels really weird and makes learning trumpet feel upside down
@maxparrisch4718 A tip for you: You should try to stop puffing your lower lip.Embrouchure comes first, tone comes automatically if your embrouchure is correct. Believe me.
Man I’ve been struggling with high notes ever since I first learned trumpet and I’m afraid I don’t have hours and hours of time to practice like that 🥲
