At age 65 i've been working on Salsa bass. Just because I can play to youtube doesn't mean that I can walk in and play Vomonos Pal Monte with a full Latin percussion and no pro bass to copy. I also finger pick guitar and love this. When work slows down this winter I hope to study w/ you via internet. Bravo for your funky left and right hands!

Thank you so much for sharing this great video. The harmonical changings are not the most difficult thing, the understanding and feeling of the clave beat it’s the most important basic of any Latin music. Beacause it’s dance music.

Hey Joey Jeffcott thanks for the comment. I’d love to help. These riffs can be used for many salsa tunes acoustic covers and it’s a way to transform (for example) a jazz standard into a latin rhythm. Hey there, thanks for the feedback. I’m working on how to write tabs.. I have probably seen them once in my life! So I am not very familiar with them or how to write those.. With the camera focus, yes I saw that! I left it in because I did a slower sample straight after that worked better. Apologies but I was filming by myself. Hope it’s useful regardless ✌️
