Imagine making the Santa build without anyone knowing, and then all of a sudden the cogs in the brain of one of the players just click and they go "ARE YOU SANTA?!?"
@@srg24601 I mean maybe that's the true Santa. Skin as pale as snow helping him blend in. Moves extremely fast and only at night. Nigh immortal. Has to be invited into your house. Can turn into either a bat (or mist depending on the mythos) to easily enter houses.
@@mistamemewide there is the rabbit-folk race now for Bunny! Maybe Jack Frost is Reborn? Tooth is clearly a Fairy. Sandman is trickier... Maybe a Kalashtar?
Has anyone else noticed that the song Rudolf tells us that we know the names of the reindeer from The Night Before Christmas, but then has the audacity to ask us if we remember *the most famous one?*
“The most powerful being to ever exist” Probably. I mean in DC, Santa’s able to get past all of Apokalips’s defenses to give Darkseid coal, then is able to escape without a scratch. You gotta be pretty powerful to be able to do that.
I mean, mechanically you get equine build, charge, and the nature skill, so centaur does fit perfectly with a character like this and-- Oh no... *We just oppened the doors to My little pony builds!!!*
Divine Soul works really well for Rudolph because, according to the Christmas in July special, he was given his glowing nose by the anthropomorphic personification of the northern lights
I'm surprised you didn't consider the Rise of the Guardians iteration of Santa and include some Swords Bard levels. Santa is the bardliest holiday character in existence, and who doesn't love getting gifts of Bardic Inspiration and singing Christmas Carols during a Short Rest?
Fun fact, Reindeer consume hallucinogenic plants as part of their regular diet, as such, they actually pass the hallucinogenic components through their system without getting high. That's right, reindeer are immune to hallucinogenic effects in plants. So, if you want to make the build even more of reindeer, give him an ability that does something similar. Chances are a magical reindeer can pass alcohol without getting buzzed or drunk.
On the twenty fifth day of Christmas My good Sr. Tulok brought me: Twenty-six Christmas-rescue elfs Twenty-five Necromanteion guests Twenty-four twin princes Twenty-three Corrupted Jigsaw bodies Twenty-two Mortal fists Twenty-one Morph gun mods Twenty Elemental Bros Nineteen Rebeld rogue ones Eighteen Mutated fellowships Seventeen Full-Shoto fighters Sixteen Eternial friends Fifteen Self-destructive teammates Fourtheen Marvelous Mutants Thirteenth paternal blood bonds Twelve dreamy rivals Eleven bottled pirate ships Ten Martial fighters Nine Red starfleet uniforms Eight Fantastic Couples Seven Rebel Spirit cops Six Lively toys Five Angry space wizards Four Hunted devils Three Prideful Greek heroes Two Crime fighting gals And a lemur up in a pear tree! Happy holidays to everyone, Christmas might be a day but is a celebration of good spirits that must go on for all the month if not the whole year, be nice and have an excellent day.
Plot twist, Rudolph Is a warlock, and whatever Santa is, is his patron. His odd nose was a curse placed on him, by his patron. To this day, he has never learned of Santa’s crimes.
John Mclane and Grinch can join these two for a Christmas themed party. Maybe Ms. Claus, Frosty, and Buddy or some other extra competent elf can be built in the future. And Clarence.
Don’t forget Hawkeye lol I am now realizing there is no Hawkeye build, I mean, we all know it’s Arcane archer and basically the same as the recent Boe build but… it just feels wrong
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years Tulok and Mason and everyone who work on these videos. It must have been quite a feat to do two builds everyday this December. But we appreciate and you brought a lot of joy to us viewers. So thank you and have a happy.
Have an amazing Christmas Tulok!! My fam did a pretty chill Christmas this year, nothing crazy. Just staying home, sharing laughs, eating food. Hope you have just as great/relaxing experience because you've earned it!!
My Santa build is a forge cleric, with the hermit background. Maybe a dip in artificer and/or rogue, maybe. ... He's a mascot for a religous holliday, who isolates himself at the north pole. ... Rouge for the reverse begerlery, and artificer for the same reasons Tuvok used it.
While I don't think Rudolph could be any other race picturing him as a centaur is....disturbing for some reason. Santa being a pacifist makes sense too even if plenty of comics disagree. Still great job capturing the spirits of Christmas with these builds.
Violent Night shows us a different Santa - a retired Viking Warrior that helps out children in need, and delivers lumps of coal to those on the Naughty List.
Thank you for Kirk and Spock! Still pulling for Eglantine Price (Bednobs and Broomsticks), Winifred Sanderson (Hocus Pocus), Prince Voltran (Flash Gordon), Counselor Troi (Star Trek tNG), Mary Poppins, and the Reverend Doctor Syn (The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh).
I know this pretty out there but prediction for Rudolph: Protector Aasimar (for flying and light) Moon Druid (turn into a reindeer) maybe multiclassed into light cleric (for more light)
Merry Christmas, and thank you again sir. I speak for myself only, but I appreciate you and your content always. Try to get some rest soon, December has been a lot of work I’m sure 🖤
Absolutely incredible builds, but as a giant, long lived, kind and jolly yet vaguely fae-ish guy, Santa just works better as a Firbolg than as a human.
The only exception to Santa being killed off in a movie, was one I remember from the Santa Clause movie. Scott accidentally startled Santa, and he fell from the roof. And Scott had no idea that he accepted the Santa Clause by putting on the coat.
Featherfall is a very important spell for Santa Claus to have and I'm glad you appreciate that. Nobody wants a repeat of that unfortunate "The Santa Clause" incident. Tragic.
I lost it when you made Rudolph a centaur, but I can't really think of any other way to play as a reindeer aside from Druid wild-shape or Polymorphing yourself.
One great thing about a Santa build is there are so many takes on Santa that you can conceivably do the build multiple times. Like, Baum (the guy who wrote The Wonderful Wizard of Oz) made a Santa raised by a nymph and a lioness (yes, Santa has two mommies), who has nature spirits fight his battles for him, and was granted the one-of-a-kind Mantle of Immortality. Maybe a build for that Santa another year?
great video! i would've guessed Conjuration Wizard for Santa easy toy creation, teleportation down chimneys, and better summons (reindeer/elves), as well as access to Wish/Time Stop, and Storm Sorcerer for Rudolph for the flying theme. Merry Christmas, have a comment for the algorithm!
In school I once had to explain the concept of the Dental Pixie, entirely in French (which kinda melted my brain,) to somebody who grew up in a country that didn't have that sto- I mean where the Dental Pixie didn't work. Yeah, that.
i adore your videos- i've been watching all of them the past month and I'm sad I'm finally caught up bc now I have to wait for the new ones each time. i'd love to see vi and jinx from arcane! or any characters from that show tbh I feel like there's a ton of cool ones
The only way to top this one next year would be to make Jesus as a D&D character. The first L20 Cleric build. It would be worth it for the comment section alone.
This really shows just how broken Artificers can be. You can basically dump half of all stats but still end up with all of them at 18+, and not at too high a level even. Now imagine if you took those infusions and played as an Armorer who can wear an armour that can't be removed. Holy hell that would be a fun powergaming build! :D
If you're making Rudolf on DnD beyond, Longstrider is inaccessible by Sorcerers even with additional Spells. I recommend substituting it with Expeditious Retreat.
idk if you or mason made the one piece reference at the start of rudolph’s section, but man has it made me want to see you tackle one piece characters. i have a hard time imagining how most of them would be built, because my god are they varied, specific, and weird
First let me just preface: love the vids, and ur creativity often helps me in teaching my newer players that they can really play anything, that said: Also, Variant Human, Rune Fighter 3, Armorer Artificer may be a good Hulk Buster/ Hulk Build, the armor and infusions may make hulk much more enjoyable for u to build out, cause Bruce can be smart. For an Santa build, I would increase intelligence BEFORE you pick up the Headband, just so you are strong before level 14, I would do a 14 Int rather than Wisdom, and increase to 16, cause that way, you are Strong early. Headband is awesome, but Flash of Genius and Gloves of thievery will give the slight of hand bonus, and that’s needed. Also, in the case of Roudoph, i was exited to see a dragon monk, (fly speed, lasers, FAST, and mobile. LOVE UR VIDS, but sometimes I have issues with the way it makes the perfect character at lvl 20, rather than doing a few bench mark lvls. I kinda been asking for a while, cause I saw a different channel talk about the Hexblade/Paladin and they explained flavor at the levels of Lvl 1 Lvl 3 Lvl 5 Lvl 8 Lvl 10 Lvl 12 Lvl 15 Lvl 17 Lvl 20 A lot of ur superhero builds feel disappointing cause when it’s spells that cause effects it doesn’t match up as much as the less powerful, but more accurate versions….
Well, I expected Santa do be powerful, even if his Dnd Build isn't the best suited for direct, unassited combat. But HOLY SHIT, I didn't expected Rudolph to be THAT STRONG!
Was hoping for heat and snow miser but this is cool too. If you want a real challenge Tulok, try and build Maika Halfwolf from Monstress. Shes a classic case of too strong for her own good and way too many fighting styles, has an old god living in her that can come out and fight for her a la Noob Saibot, and can potentially cast spells as well. Oh and she's missing an arm.
I know that you powerbuilt a little bit, but wouldn't Santa need Clairvoyance for that whole "Seeing you when you're sleeping and knowing when you're awake" thing? Over 364 days, you could absolutely see who's naughty and nice.
Considering you have to create it in a known location within a mile, Scrying would be a lot better than Clairvoyance. Better yet, this character is probably a strong candidate to source his own crystal ball so he can scry as much as he wants, whether he learns the spell himself or not.
I don't know what else you would've used for Rudolph if not Centaur. I would've liked it to be something closer to a sentient horse, but that's not *really* a thing in RAW, so that's about as close as we get. Maybe Cervan from the Humblewood series? I dunno if you count that as homebrew or not.
