HOW TO PLAY STEVEN UNIVERSE IN MULTIVERSUS (GUIDE) 

i'm kinda a newbie but i like putting this up shield then shield wall right next to each other and if you get your opponent inside the shield you can spam attack and they take a lot of damage from the shields and your attacks. for example Steven ___ 웃 웃 | opponent the line are the shields if you haven't figured out

i got some tips too : 1)when you down air an opponent on top of a platform you can use you shield as another platform and if done right he will bounce between the platform and your shield 2)his neutral air is a very great tool for recovering because it makes him float and it has a big range when its charged so when your opponent try to hit you just release that button and it will hit him and protect you at the same time 3)when your opponent is recovering and while you are on the stage use your up special and hold it to float toward you opponent and then spike him (its a little bit risky depending on your enemy's character) i guess that you can also try holding the jumping button to float but i did not try it yet 4)when you enemy is high enough (around 120 and 130) use you down air and up air combo to kill him 5)neutral air is great way to approach your enemy and you can combo after it (i use the down air) 6)when you are in 2v2 games dont forget to use your shield and your bomb to save you ally if both of you opponent are attacking him 7)when you put someone in a buble dont attack him cause its useless go attack the other opponent or in 1v1 wait for him to get out and prepare for a combo 8)if you dont have any special(they are in cooldown) and you ally is getting hit by your opponents use your down air special (you must touch the ground before hitting them and that means you will be sliding on the ground) to hit both of them at once i guess thats all i know if i find something else i will tell you by commenting my own comment lmao am cringe i know

You can also use the up special for recovery back to the stage if you’re being hunted offstage ! Very useful. You can save your platform as well if you land on the ground from recovery.

Steven also have an insane combo potential I've been using him alot, idk who to main yet since there's going to be new characters

I find Steven is support because his neutral dodge bubble protects his 2v2 teammate as well, allowing you to bubble-armor teammates out of their opponents juggles/combos, or bubble-armor teammates giving them the opportunity to land a full-charge attack, often unexpectedly and even if they ARENT ALREADY a tank like Superman. I 2v2 with a Finn who is normally a glass cannon, bubbling him during big attacks has been crucial so far.

I bought some gleamium and i was wondering who to buy. Stevens always been my favorite choice just bc i love the show, but this video really convinced me!

I’ve been playing steven a lot. He’s especially crazy in 2v2. I reached top 300 with him and I’ve barely scratched the surface in terms of his skill cap. But I’ve got some tips (mainly for 2v2 can apply some of these to 1v1 too.) Being able to bubble an opponent then both you and your teammate focusing the non bubbled player is very good as it allows the match to be a 2v1 for a couple of seconds. His side special on the other hand create space for himself and especially for projectile users. His down special the watermelon steven makes the match a 3v2 and if one is bubbled it becomes a 3v1. And in the event that your teammate dies and your left alone steven is arguably the best stall character. His personal shield along with his up special makes it hard to come after him in the few seconds where the enemy team is at the advantage. I personally think steven is very unique and does not need nerfing. Although he is a bit buggy at the moment. When he gets fixed there no doubt in my mind that he will be the premier 2v2 support character.

Steven is cracked even in solos, I lost to a Steven at top 64 in the Gummyverse tournament. The way you can do combos using the platforms and kill confirm early is insane!

As a top 100 1v1 Steven the main kills I get are either a down spike on edge or up special if you get in a jam bubble your opponent and heal with watermelon Steven then rush once bubble pops or up special when it pops Steven can only have 2 shields out at a time his cooldowns are somewhat slow but don’t try to base your whole game off it best perks I feel are ice to beat you, that’s flammable/hit em while down, doc nd x3 jump

Could his move he uses for landing be useful to counter Bugs’ burrow attack or no?

You can dodge cancel your bounce back from fair and you can fastfall when charging his shields so it comes out faster and lower

I’d recommend checking out more advanced Steven tech, he has some rly good stuff like jab dair and down special dair

I reccomend the I dodge You Dodge We Dodge perk, you'll get your side special back alot sooner

That’s flammable, doc procs on nair, it’s ridiculously good with collateral damage. Managed to get top 300 1’s with him yesterday

Using Stevens neutral normal attack is really good for starting combos

Imma just say this…… all the tier I’ve seen has Steven on the bottom for solos but I’ve been cooking people once I got him lol like yeah I’m not a top player and far from a high rank but I’ve been putting in some work with him so my point is just play whoever cause they might be really good😂😂😂

smaybe people know this, but, you can heal (watermelon) on your flat shield. so you can jump or pushed to the top of the screen or the far side of the screen and up+special to get your flat shield and jump a few times and down+special for the watermelon. be careful if you do that on the top of the screen bc maybe the watermelon kid will die bc of the edge. edit: and i know heals are not that good but...

i think steven is good in 1v1 vs shaggy cauz your mini steven can make him waste his power up attack in case he charges but also you can counter the kick by throwing a shield to him. Edit: i also usually like to use the shield up special to get away from enemies and get some seconds to "Plant" the little steven + heal, but it can be risky if you get to high and near the top of the map

What i do in 1v1 I put an up shield then jump up and place another one so that no one can get to me and then I heal slowly and spawn my watermelon clone while no one can get me.

If u use up special then jump on it again and again u can reach the top of the map making u unreachable

I just got him ten minutes ago and and I found a combo doing Down air, jab, jab, up air, up special it does 23-24 damage I forgot and with watermelon Steven it does 28

Ngl when the titular character Steven Universe from the CN original Steven Universe showed up in Multiversus and said “every Steven has its Universe” before he Stevened all over the cast, I was legit just sitting there and using the controller. It’s the game made by Warner Bros.

i think hes underrated but he feels incomplete like a lot of his moves feel like they're missing something but the good parts of his kit are really good so it makes up for it

Are there any characters you’d consider broken?? I personally think Finn as his bag move is very powerful and easy to land it also has a massive duration and hitbox
