Jeff Olson and Gene D'Amico created a transcription of Ringo's drum part on "Oh Darling" by the Beatles. Their intent is to offer this video and transcription as a learning tool for drummers that want to try and play like Ringo Starr. Gene plays through the transcription (available from D'Amico Drums).
Here I'm demonstrating the drum fills to the transcription of Oh! Darling by The Beatles. I'm playing them much slower than album tempo so you can make out the "lefty" stickings that Ringo most likely used. I hope this video is helpful!
The Charting RIngo project has involved hours of intense study and transcription to understand the sticking patterns and the drum selections for each of Ringo's parts. Jeff Olson and Gene D'Amico collaborated and have attempted to share their best effort on how Ringo played the songs.

Thank you very much for this video....it helped me a lot, since i have to play this music live. It was a big challenge, memoryzing it and playing at normal tempo with so much left hand leading....great song!

Probably the greatest thing about Ringo as a drummer is that he is likely to play the fills differently each time through! These mechanical drummers these days can't do that.

thanks for this, quick question though, why do you play the part at 17 seconds leading with the right? it feels like it should be started with the left, is it to get to the floor tom and back economically? sorry it just doesnt feel right to play it this way round to me and im trying to learn it all

I think it's partly because of what you mentioned, but mostly because it is probably how Ringo played it. He is left handed, but plays a right handed kit formation, so he tends to lead his fills with the "wrong" hand. He has mentioned in interviews that this is what makes his fill tend to feel different than fills played by most other drummers. I may be off on this, but that's just my 2 cents.

Any progress on the transcription? I've searched the internet high and low and cannot find it anywhere. Thanks for putting this video up, very helpful!
