I truly appreciate you taking time to teach this technique. It is obvious that you really care if a student learns. Some teachers simply throw out tidbits of information to get one to subscribe or pay for whatever course they are promoting. It is unfortunate that so many people make a joke out of talent. Envy is a green-eyed monster.

It seems like it would make more sense to strum... Thumb, index, middle, ring, middle.... That way the index is ready to go asap... Seems like maybe you could get faster tremelos like that but what do I know?

You can actually strum faster with index ring middle index because you're just pulling off your fingers off the string and your index finger can go fast enough so you get the effect. :P

The pinky isn't really used in finger picking, so it would be weird to suddenly throw it in.

+wenglish1968 Pinky is a scale technique more often than not. Fingerstyle you apply the first 3 fingers to your 3 bottom strings and thumb to you top 3. There's absolutely no way to play that fast with the pinky without years of only applying the pinky and still the way your hand is made up it's just not a natural movement. Plus you use the bottom 3 for accentuating notes and the top 3 for a bass rythm method usually.

+Κωστας Παπαδημος Yeah, don't if you're not playing clean, distortion ruins tremolo. The main difference in electric and acoustic is that you have no sound hole and the pickups occupy that space. I'd say start practicing with acoustic fingerstyle and then apply that to electric. You're going to have shorten you picking to accommodate the pickups on electric but it will also help with economy of motion when you return to acoustic.
