Holliday tunes can be a great way to improve your skills on an instrument. I hope you enjoy playing and learning with this tune. If you are in the oboefiles studio play around and compose or improvise your own harmony part to go with the recording :) Mine doesn't really go with the notation because I improvised it and then rewrote it for accessibility, but feel free to use the notated one in the video, good luck!

That's a good video on the basics of playing 🎴 Christmas ☃️🎄 music 🎵🎶 depending on what level you're at either beginning of a advanced Oboe player. Very good video.

Hello I am a oboist and I am having trouble being able to get a sound when I crow my reed do you have any tips? If you do I would love to hear them thanks

Hmm it sounds like maybe there is not enough air pressure to overcome the resistance of the reed. You can try engaging your core more or a lighter reed…. Hope this helps! if you schedule a lesson on my website I’d love to help you figure it out :)
