HOW TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL ⎮RULES EXPLAINED 

Hey guys! The new season is among us! It's almost that time of year for us to kick up our volleyball game. Your videos have been really helpful. I’m going into 9th grade and I’ve never played before (I’ve never gone to a school where they have sports!) but I am interested. I am trying a skills camp at my high school for the next three days and if I like it, I’m going to try out for junior varsity next week. I’ve met both the varsity and junior varsity coaches and they are both really nice so that makes me feel a bit more comfortable with trying volleyball out.

I'm joining volleyball for the first time this year in 8th grade, and I'm very nervous about it because I'm not the greatest at it. I need some sort of modivation to keep me going but I feel super insecure about my skills compared to other girls at my school that are really good at volleyball. I want to do volleyball though before I get into highschool, and in fact I'm actually joining basketball as well and thats also the same as volleyball. I'm super scared to join sports and I completely regret not joining sports sooner than now, but the more I wait the more I'll regret. I just hope that one day I'll become really good and become more confident about myself. Wish me luck 🤞😬 *Update* >> So today was the first day of volleyball practice, and honestly it wasn't so bad after all. I think I was just scaring myself for no reason because practice went amazing and it was so much fun. All you have to do is have a positive attitude and believe in yourself. Although I wasn't the greatest volleyball player there, I learned so many things and I'm really looking forward to more after school volleyball :))

Due to quarantine I haven't been able to practice much, I'm new to volleyball but I guess watching the anime Haikyuu got me into it. I wanna become a setter but i'm not sure if its the right fit for me. You see, i'm fairly chubby and insecure about my weight and body so that may be part of that too...But the thing is I am also interested in the Libero position. One of the other things im worried about is that I've lived in a house with people who smoke around me a lot, and im only thirteen...My depression and anxiety are worse now than they've ever been so those have been causing a lack of motivation...But I've been trying my best to practice when i can, even if its hard and im one to give up easily...Anyways, you're videos have really helped me in both learning the rules and deciding on a position, so thank you Coach Koko!

I'm a setter and I DO NOT KNOW how to changing position... Storytime I'm a setter and I am like a beginner (3 years from volleyball) I still don't know how to position and serve (sometimes my serve are inside) my teammates are mad at me and I cried (that was embarrassing) I have many negative thoughts, some other teammates are comforting me they said I really did a great job but still NEGATIVE THOUGHTS I sometimes watch HOW TO SERVE, WHAT'S THE POSITION AT THE SETTER, HOW TO BACK SET(well I achieve that cause it helps me a lot your videos are amazing) still... I know I’m like 2 years late to this video. But whatever. So I’m going to 7th grade in September and my teacher is the volleyball coach. I really wanna try out for the volleyball team this year, since all my friends play. I’m that one kid that never really does anything at school, I don’t do clubs or any sports. But for some reason I really wanna try out. But I have a problem. All the other kids that try out and play have played their WHOLE life. So they’re experts, I don’t know anything about it and your videos really help. I’m taking notes and I will try to practice. I also don’t have the “ideal” body type (all the other girls are “prettier” and skinnier then me) and that makes me insecure. So I’m also trying to loose a bit of chubs while trying to learn volleyball. Thank you for your videos they really make a difference. I hope that I can make the team in September :)

your videos are really helping me! yesterday I went to day 1 of volleyball tryouts for my hs team, I did alright i think, but everyone else is so skilled and has had experience, I don’t think i’m going to make the team because I think the coach wants people with experience already so they can win, and they aren’t going to go back and teach me the basics first because they want to go forward quickly since there’s a game this Wednesday 😭😭

Thank you for this video! I've been wanting to get into volleyball recently but I'm kinda stuck in a "it's too late for me" mindset. I'm 25 and I've never played a sport in my life, so I'm not athletic at all, but I would like to be, so I'm trying to push myself in that direction! Anyone else start a sport after their 20s? 😅 Advice is very welcome haha.

Another thing, the ball can hit the net during a rally, however players are not allowed to touch the net. During a serve you have to get the ball to the other side of the net, it’s fine if it bounces off the top of the net, it just has to make it over.
