Bob Dylan wrote a small rift which was the basis for the tune. Old Crow took that and wrote the song and recorded it. Then Darius Rucker covered it after that. Just a little more detail on what you wrote.
@@NigelMinchin Dylan wrote a verse and the chorus and the basic tune/melody. It was part of the music he wrote for the Pat Garret film. OCMS finished it off and got joint credit for it.
Hey Ralph.. love your playing and teaching skills.. If you're taking requests can you play us "Ruby Love" by Cat Stevens? One of my dads favorite songs RIP Dad
Hey, Lee...I just acquired a Morgan Monroe...how do you like yours? I don't understand why he plays this with so many hammer-ons and pull-offs...especially at 4:22...why can't you pick one of those notes? Pull-offs have been a challenge for me...I don't think it's my mando.
Hey Ralph...Chrome and Edge don't seem to like your website. I would really like music or tabs for your melody line...can you direct me to how I can find it?
Good lesson, but can you please tell everyone how you're tuned (standard or whatever), for us newbies, before you start the song... maybe even explain why it's tuned that way for a specific song if it's from a certain region...
its very good ,but why not make it better for new players and older fingers ,by doing a version with easier 2 finger chords combos as an alternative for the main melody
No doubth you are verry good at what you do, but they are verry hard chords'especially on a mandoin for a beginner or even intermediate player. Would be a lot easier playing it in G, which most players play it and sing with as well.. Two fingers G D Em C etc, which will also bring the full volume out of the Mandolin.
Hey Jaythizzle1969! thanks for the recommendation. Normally I do. I was having a little trouble finding a way to make it concise since I was doing two separate versions of the same intro... Check out this video if you want an example of my normal video layout! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XPS_H6q1Uts.html :-)
