It depends a lot on the rubber. With some LP rubbers it's almost impossible to attack brushing the ball and the shot must be completely flat. With other rubbers you can brush the ball and the shot is very similar to that of an inverted rubber.

Every racket and set up has strengths and weaknesses, limiting people to only inverted rubber would be like reducing the number of pieces in Chess, it'd be simpler but boring. Developing skills for the variety of styles and equipment makes the game more fun.

Sounds like someone can't handle Long Pips players. What makes TT great is that it can be played at a high level from players of mostly any age young & old. Should good table tennis be reserved for those only in their 20s and the most athletic & strong? Sounds like that's what you're advocating for. Variety & different styles of play makes the game interesting.

@@markjmarkjack why don't ITTF make a investigation on their website, how many percent people don't like long pips rubber, I am sure it will be above 50%, then we have enough reason to ban it.

What planet do you come from? Do you really think they'd ever ban long pips from table tennis if you signed a petition? 😂 It doesn't matter if you like it or not. It adds variety and if you can't handle it at all you're technique is simply too bad. Also if long pips are so strong why isn't everybody in the top playing it? Haha

@@IHadToChooseThis1 I am from Mars, I know there are a lot of long pips' fans. special for old man & woman, they like changing the long pips from forehand to backhand, just for confusing opponent. it is unfair, it is sports not funny joke.
