There are so many freaking details in this show… I’ll have to watch it several more times to absorb all of them, but it is brilliant. Too bad it just gets looked over for garbage.
Series are amazing. And maybie it's the first ever, where people with mentall illness are represented as people, without all the stereotypes, that are shown usually on screens.
So many similarities to Legion. I don’t think on purpose, but they are there. Love both shows so much! How come so few directors can get it right? Sense 8 could have been amazing because it was written by the l Wackowski (sp?) sisters who did the screenplay for the matrix, but the direction was just all wrong in my opinion. I don’t know what you call that directing style, but it’s not for me. It’s the style they use for all of the main network shows like Grey’s Anatomy and whatever else is on TV these days. I certainly wouldn’t know.
Wait, I watched this from my recommended and expected it to be from some super popular video essayist. But nope, he just hasn’t been discovered by the masses yet. Unbelievable. Fantastic video, and I’m sure you will get recognition for the work you put into your stuff soon!

This is by far the most insightful and intelligent piece of art ever made about human mind, trauma, dysfunctional relationships and the healing journey. Mental illness doesent exist, it's minds perfectly developed to cope with the enviroment they happened to be born in

I haven't watched the Netflix adaptation yet, but this was interesting. I'd recommend you get a hold of the original series, it's Norwegian, like me haha, but it was amazing.
@@konradnoises that's the trailer, the whole series was written by the lead actor and had a fraction of the US adaption's budget of course, still it is amazing, especially the Seinfeld scenes

Philipp i’m still responding to comments, but making videos takes a long time, and I haven’t got it lately! Don quijote is a masterpiece. It tells a very romantic story of a lunatic old man, that comprehends the universe in his own way. I very much identify myself in his mindset. Peace and noises!

I don’t know, but it’s so hard to find a good show in a sea of crap. I love Legion, watchmen (the series, not the movie), preacher, American Gods, good omens, and this show was great, but they are way too few and far between considering how much garbage is out there. (i’d like to point out that in three of those, the patients are depicted as being in a mental institution when they are actually gifted, powerful and or magical.) hmmmm… 😂 I tried to watch the series a discovery of witches but it was horrible (twilight but for adults even though a lot of adults thoroughly enjoyed twilight somehow) and the acting was dreadful and the same with the show with the magicians (Harry Potter for young-ish adults even though adults love Harry Potter, which was written for children, but I digress) but that’s kind of the low af standard now. I apologize if you like any of those shows. I’m not trying to be snobby, I’m just being honest. Those are just background shows for me. Folding laundry, doing dishes, etc. I’ve seen Legion four times all the way through, preacher three times, American Gods twice and I’m on my second viewing of maniac. So desperate for good media that you have to watch the same shows over and over again. If anyone has any suggestions… Please?!?! 🙏🏻
