How do I move the subtitle all the way to the bottom of the screen? Or, at least lower than the default bottom position. How do I fade my subtitles in and out?
David, thank you so much. I had been looking at some other tutorials, but no one mentions the "zone" tool as you do. That also works for Broadcast Closed Caption too, which I need.
Thank you so much for providing this info but particularly for timestamping this video so I could watch how to reposition all captions at once, you're a legend!
thanks so much. I want to change the position downwards, it does not go lower than its default Is there a solution? Because in this case, we can not change the effect tab from there🙏
Unfortunately, PP doesn't store subtitle positions in the .srt format (I'm not even sure SRT supports it) so this tip is only useful for burnt in subtitles, unless I'm missing something? This is the technique I've been using for a while for burnt in subtitles.
Thank you so much for this video, I still had a bit of trouble getting Essential Graphics to appear to be able to reposition/resize text, I wasn't able to get it to appear by clicking on the transcript in the Captions panel, I had to double click on the text in the actual preview screen to have Essential Graphics appear.
Is there an option to left justify+center place the subtitles? It seems now you can only have one, either center placement or left justification. Not both!! Is there a way to fix that? Please help!
You're welcome, KEVO. Happy to share. You'll probably be interested in this video as well - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4WTupIe8GjM.html
I did this but when I exported the position change as an SRT, the reposition didn't change. It's still the original location. How do I save the reposition?
Hi, an SRT subtitle is a plain text subtitle format that does not retain formatting. It's unfortunate but that's what the SRT format is. The best option would be to burn in your subtitle to the video or if you intended for the video to be on RU-vid you can use YTSub Converter. Here's a video on how it works. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Srb_y2IBJE.html I hope this helps. Thanks.
Thegio mono for the quick tip dude! 🙌🏾 Had already started to figure out a whole convoluted plan of exporting the subtitles as quicktime alpha channel videos then re-importing them back into video and moving them. This saved me SO MUCH TIME!
I noticed that you had the same problem I had - The first time you tried to use the manual vertical placement option, the text didn't actually move on screen. The second time you tried, it worked. Same thing happened to me.
@@FilmitmishalI'm new to Premier Pro (like, today is my first time using it) and I'm using it since Vegas Pro requires a subscription for their transcription. All of that to say I'm not sure of all the ramifications of doing my fix but if you select all your captions and then at the top of the window you click "Graphics and Titles" and then click "Upgrade Caption to Graphic" and then you select all of your text again and go to your"Effects Control" tab, you can now see in "Text" and you can use "Baseline Shift" under the spacing options to move it up. Also in Motion, there is a position option that I think you can use to move all the subtitles up down left right etc.
David mbuga how are you doing? Bro Today I have two questions which I asked so many you tubers but didn't answer the questions is; 1. My brother has an account in Equity bank so can I connect it to my RU-vid channel in order to earn money from Google but used my name when applying for monotization 2.is it possible to earn money from Google using equity bank Kind regards
Subtitles should be where they originated from, at the bottom of the screen where there is usually less activity in movies. It's easier to read, my eyes can dance from the words to the activity on the screen easy enough. But nowadays, I see it in the center or topside. Ridiculous! In the middle where it's clouding characters faces? And on the top where it also clouds activity? What is wrong with leaving it at the bottom where barely anything in movies it's clouding? I don't understand why there is even an option where to place the close caption. Netflix is just letting this nonsense run wild on it's site. If I see captions in the middle of a screen, I usually turn it off or just stop the video, especially if it's foreign without english translation. Even then, I need to run captions because I'm hard of hearing. What happen to just leaving the captions at the bottom of the screen where it was most comfortable?
