Honestly, you had me at "Hey this is Daniel Norton. I'm here in my studio in New York city with Marisa." It's always a given that when you two work together, it's going to be a relaxed, fun shoot, with excellent results. Thanks, both of you!

I love the Daniel-Marisa collaboration. This was another excellent example. Daniel with a haircut and Marisa in a classy dress (to reciprocate?) The "dance" between him and her was there again: he talks about backlighting her, moves the light to the side behind her and she makes a step forward - after which he says, step forward.

Marissa is your best model. Love your episodes with her. Always very natural looking. The dress is very nice, too. You don't see full length dresses much anymore. Love those moody, dramatic shots.

Daniel - very simple and useful lesson. It clearly illustrates how light placement influences the subject’s facial shape and bolsters your “it’s not the equipment, it’s how you use it” approach to teaching. My compliments to Marisa - you two are a great team. Photogenic Studiomax III (2); Yongnuo speedlights (2) Brooklyn Reflector Mark II.

Another great video, Sir. You inspire me to practice lighting with every installment, which for me at least, is almost as important as what you teach. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing Daniel. Great that you mention that it's up to the photographer to shape what 'they' want for the shoot they are creating. It's what being creative is all about..... isn't it? 😏

Thank you, Daniel! Have you also done a master-class at Adorama on how to properly light a group? (other than the one in b&w that you did at the studio with your team)

Again, a super job! Thank you Daniel and Marisa. BTW here's an idea for a clip; modeling light! How, when, where and why. You don't seem to use them that much (if ever). Is it useful or just another gadget to raise the price of a light? Thank you in advance and thank you for your time.

I always enjoy your videos. The ones where you were drinking coffee on your front porch talking about the photo industry and where its going were some of my favorites. I'm into photography now almost four years and watched tons of Adorama videos and spent $$ there also. When I think of Adorama, I think of you, Gavin and Mark but I don't know where Adorama is going, seems like they are changing it up a bit and I'm gradually loosing interest. I just can't take another show intro about the founder of SLR lounge, a couple times Is enough. Obviously very knowledgeable and articulate but too Hollywood. By the way we all love Marissa !! During this video when you went to get the reflector, I swear it looked like you were just walking over to go in the bathroom, Just my weird sense of humor. my 2 cents. take care.....

Each time I start to watch your videos Daniel, I stop after 2 or 3 minutes because I can't follow what you say. This is really a pitty. You speak really TOO FAST Daniel ! Please keep in mind that many of your audiance in not native English and is from many other countries than US. Anyhow, thanks for your videos, which seems to be very interresting.
