Hey thank you for the tips and wonderful channel, I'm trying to make lattes at home, but my espresso is not creamy as yours any idea what is wrong with that is that because the small espresso machine I'm using or the coffee beans.

I struggle the most when I am splitting milk to make two different coffees at the same time. For your two piccolos, do you froth the milk for lets say a regular latte, then split exactly half the milk into the other pitcher, then pour the first coffee and after returning the remaining amount to the original jug? I always end up with one latte too much froth and the other not enough, or if I do a capp and a flatwhite

How do you ensure the froth sits on top when you get to the froth pouring stage? Sometimes I fill the cup halfway and am ready to start my design, but I try to pour the froth and it still sinks :(

Tillysnow1 you have to stop for a sec to let the milk settle. Then pour again and the milk will sit on top of the milk you already poured

When pouring the pattern, lower the pitcher to about a centimeter above the coffee

Think about it as you are pushing the crema of the espresso up to the top when you first begin pouring, keeping the pitcher a little higher might help to let the milk pour instead of the foam and try to pour underneath the espresso

How do you get the milk to pour out initially as you fill it up and then pour the foam for the art and it looks like a different consistence (not sure if that makes sense?)

We need a good quality of Espresso and perfect silky milk foam ! and have to practice a lot:) Also you can do it !

Hello barista Joy..I often watch ur video and get help a lot from it, but may I ask for advice? Cause I've been wandering when I make latte art sometimes the white foam to draw is sometimes appear, sometimes not, mostly when i make FW (cause we arent supposed to make a lot of foam right) So even until I already finished pour all the milk from the jug it still not showed up, so I cant draw the art and I already pour close enough, do you have any idea why this kind of thing can happen?

well, when your steaming the milk for a fw, dont stretch the milk as much as you would for a cappuccino if you do, that's when all of the foam happens. also when your doing the art, its kinda just eyeballing when do do it.

저는 안정화할때 거품이 거의 안들어가고 우유만 들어가면 확 퍼져버리더라구요.. 안정화 전에 스팀한 우유를 많이 원으로 흔들어서 거품이랑 우유랑 분리되지 않게 해주면 될거에요!!

The idea is that the heavier steamed milk will mostly come out first and fill up the bottom. Some foam mixes with the milk obviously if you don't hold it back with a spoon, which helps to create a solid base for the foam on top. You must be very gentle

it’s also about how you pour. if you don’t want the white pour slow and up high then go low and fast to get the white. hope that helps

흘린적 있죠 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ! ! ! 거품양이 많을수록 잘 흘리지 않아요 근데 플랫화이트에 우유를 가득담으면 찰랑찰랑 해서 서빙할때 넘 힘드러여 그래서 가득담지 않ㅇㅏ요! ! ! 서빙해주는 친구들이 힘드니까여 ㅠㅠ

jeslyn as I’ve practiced at work I’ve learned that keeping the wand angled for the foaming portion of a steam and then making the wand perfectly straight, basically perpendicular to the pitcher works best for obtaining that whirlpool you speak of

always feel pitcher as you steam. aerate listening for little rips until 4 seconds after pitcher is warm. then move pitcher up to submerge tip of steam wand and steam until the pitcher is too hot to touch. it takes a lot of practice but you’ll get there :))

65도에서 70도 정도에요 스팀압이 쎈편이라 속도도 빠른편이에요

You have to pour close to the surface for it to sit on top

@@dakodasouthee3439 I have the same problem. Yet, even if I try that, it somehow still sinks into the coffee. No matter how hard I try, the art will not float on top and just ends up making a small white dot on top while all the art is just sunk under.

@@dakodasouthee3439 Yes, the shots I pull are close to perfect, and the lattes taste great. Now that I have that down, I'm trying to get a good latte art. It seems the art is a tad better with milk with a higher fat, but I still can't get it all to stay on the top.
