How to Pray: Be REAL! (How I Received the Gift of Tongues) 

I believe that tongues have ceased. I have heard a voice claiming to be from God where I would marry a very beautiful Korean Christian wife. It came true, but I do not believe it was from God because there are many women in Korea who are Christian and who would fit this profile. The reason why I found what I have heard is somewhat a little nonsense is "why would God care about the pitiful and nonsense lack of importance like a beautiful Korean wife? Maybe, information like a Christian wife would be pertinent importance to my faith if God were to tell me that I would marry a Christian, but someone pretty or Korean just does not seem to be God would actually care about nonsense details like that. It just shows to me that I have sinful heart what I want. I do admit that my wife does look like a K-Pop Korean looking wife. There are many in Korea because of the insane diet in Korea where Koreans avoid a lot of fats and sugars which cause significant weight gain. I believe sugar consumption is lowest in the world in South Korea. Yes, sugar consumption in Korea is lower compared to many African countries on the verge of starvation and dying even though South Korea is an advanced country where hunger is not a significant problem.

Hey Im telling you something tells me tell you read samuel! Also I took along time to get the holy spirit with tongues but in Acts it says that they spake with tongues as the spirit gave them utterance and God says if you get baptized in the name of Jesus christ u shall recieve the gift of the holy ghost , it says this is a gift God wants to give it to u more than you can recieve it. Its the earnest of your inheritance. He said he will NOT leave you comfortless and when he says he will send his comfort hes talking of his spirit. The evidence God is inside of us is speaking in tongues!we ALL can do it atleast even once because it says the gift of tongues is not for believers but for unbelievers so when we come to believe in Jesus christ and are baptized in his name correctly We SHALL recieve the spirit. Also START PRAISING AND THANKING GOD if he shows you a vision or dream it will come to pass only believe it! Hes already shown you and remember its a promise,its a way to communicate with God in your own personal language, so you will get it! Hes your father u will talk in spirit one day soon, n imagine if u didnt speak to your father in ur normal house,it says it is good to wait patiently for God. I have total faith that you will ecperience this ggreat gift for every true christian will. As God says the true worshipers will worship in SPIRIT and in truth. I will pray for you!

The spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the edification of a church body. The gift of speaking in " tongues" is always to be accompanied by a believer with the gift of interpretation. But Paul speaks of another operation of speaking in " tongues" that isn't one of the gifts. In 1Cor.14:2 "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaks unto God not man for NO MAN UNDERSTANDS him howbeit in the Spirit he speaks mysteries" and 1Cor.14:4 " He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifys himself". These operations of " tongues" are: 1) The first evidence that a believer has recieved the Holy Spirit. 2) The born again believers' private prayer language. The word " tongues" in the original Greek means " another language" and " a language" both speaking of one spiritual language.
