How To Prep a Tumbler - No Spray Paint needed 

I use acrylic paint as a base for all my cups! Depending on the color or how I’m making my tumbler I usually do about 2-3 coats. Acrylic dries incredibly fast!

I actually use this method also, it is much cheaper and your not breathing in the fumes from spray paint

I wish I found this video earlier, I already mixed epoxy with white acrylic paint on to my tumbler , problem is the top edge of the cup and bottom edge show the stainless steel , could it be possible to add the white acrylic paint over it and add epoxy after it dries? TIA , it’s my first tumbler

Just a thought, since paint is sticky- if working fast enough, do you think you can put glitter over the paint before it drys? That way you save money on modpodge/epoxy, Then epoxy to seal? I just ordered a turner and I’m waiting on it to arrive so i can start making tumblers. But this is a thought I’ve had for a while

I use brite tone to seal my tumblers and apply my glitter do you think this will affect the acrylic paint? Since it's water based?

With this method, are you able to get the paint smooth enough to not apply glitter? I'm looking for a good method to paint the cups for those who don't want glitter. Also, would using a roller to roll it onto the cup be better for leaving it the paint color?

Hello, this is helpful because I live in NY and winter is approaching. This helps especially if I want to do different colors. One question. Do you buff the tumbler before or after applying the paint? I make rhinestone tumblers

Can you use chalk paint?

Will the acrylic paint work with alcohol ink?

Can you use Brite Tone instead of Epoxy using this method?

I tried this method and the paint wanted to chip away from the top where you drink and I did it finish to end and washed by hand too
