thanks! So if im painting an all white van, would i just do a 50/50 of paint nd gac 900 for the fabric? nd for the midsole could i just use the normal paint ?
I have some white Oldskool vans. They're quite worn and it's easy to see. Would it be possible to clean them (They're not 100% white anymore because they're dirty) and then paint them afterwards, or would the paint be bad because they're worn?
Do you have a specific question? If you are painting fabric or canvas then mix 2-Soft and our Paint in a 1:1 ratio. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6l-wm7Gnv80.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ysw9NuTKcYw.html
Hey there! We cannot vouch for another brand unfortunately, we recommend to test it out first before total use! Our paint will adhere and seal in once it has dried, no top coat needed.
i have a pair of vans that have the awful texture bc they’re glittery (not my style) and is like to paint over them, is there a way to remove the texture?
No prep needed. Yes when you are working with that Fabric material you can mix our paint with our Angelus 2-soft fabric medium. Mixing the 2 will help the paint adhere on that type of fabric materials. It is a simple process. Check out the 2-soft here angelusdirect.com/products/angelus-2-soft-fabric-medium If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusdirect.com thank you -Angelus Direct
You can try to dye them if you decided to. However, we suggest using the 2-soft/paint since it can keep the materials soft. If you apply dye it may cause the material to stiffen up. Causing you to lose the canvas material. However, if you are working on Suede vans, you can absolutely use some suede dyes.
Mix 50/50 of Angelus 2-Soft and Angelus Paint to paint any fabric materials. Once the paint has dried, heat set it using a heat gun and you are good to go.
Angelus Shoe Polish I’m painting on black old school vans for a gift and I’m New to this. I wanted to know if you have any tips like how to prep the shoes or what to finish it off with ?
Okay I Need Help Once Again, Can I Make Blue Vans White By Using Flat White And Gac 900 ? And Doing It Multiple Times ? I'm Trying To Make The Vans Hot Pink But I Need To Make It White First Right ??
Better off bleaching them then making white. You will have a hard time with even coverage and keeping a nice feel to the shoe changing form that dark to white on a canvas shoe.
No and no. Rubber soles are injected color from the factory, the surface does not take large amounts of paint well and will peel, flake off and look bad. You can get away with a little speckle/splatter effect, but that's about it.
chadcantcolor thanks for telling me this. I do see it done on videos but durability is important too. And what about making yellowed soles white again with angelus paint?
A fabric medium is highly suggested when working with fabric materials. However, you can try diluting it with water, but that may lose some of the hue from the original color.
I have yet to see anyone try to remove or paint the foxing stripe on the mid sole! What would be the best way to turn that black stripe white. Would painting it hold up well?
Yes, when working with Fabric materials you can mix our paint with our Angelus 2-soft fabric medium. Mixing the 2 will help the paint adhere on that type of fabric materials. Check it out: angelusdirect.com/products/angelus-2-soft-fabric-medium
I am new to customizing sneakers and I costumiced a pair of vans and in the midsole the tape left a lot of glue anithing I can do to clean the glue of the mid sole?
Try our 802 Spot Remover for that. Using acetone or our Leather Prep may be too harsh and damaging to the midsole so we recommend the Spot Remover. angelusdirect.com/products/spot-remover?_pos=1&_sid=0af76eb45&_ss=r
Yes you can paint on black canvas, but we recommend applying a light base coat before you apply the color desired. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusdirect.com thank you -Angelus Direct
Using a sealant or finisher with Angelus Paints is optional. Angelus paints are water proof, durable and flexible and will hold up on most surfaces with proper prep and application. We have finishers that will protect against minor scratches and scrapes but ultimately is used to provide a sheen to your project. If you are working on canvas then we suggest adding 2 Soft to the paint to allow it to hold and stay on to fabric materials. Adding our Water and Stain Repellent will is also a good way to protect your project. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com

Sigh… Why is it so hard to find an actual video that shows the whole process. I mean like which kind of paint to use, what to put on the shoe first and how to seal them? I do appreciate the tape part and all that but I’ve already watched like 10 different videos thinking I was watching a beginners how to and I still haven’t figured it out. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.

Angelus Shoe Polish thanks I didn’t mean brand... I meant kind like fabric paint, acrylic etc. I have done so much research but supplies are expensive to trial and error constantly.
@@shannonstilwell8225 if you use acrylic paints, you'll need to mix it with fabric medium. If not, the paint will eventually crack. There are some actual fabric paints that you can buy from michaels or hobby lobby. I get mine from michaels. You can use these as is. With angelus paints, you can purchase any of the paints and add in their 2-soft product using a 1:1 ratio. You don't really have to prep canvas shoes. Depending on what colors you're using, a base coat of white will help the colors pop.
