with these repeated fowl vids, I feel so confident now!!! THANK YOU! The mistakes I was making are a thing of the past. my brother "Scott" told me his way, (ohh shit) I showed him these last few, and now we are both on the same page. Scott told me to say thank you for him as well as myself. (he's the better hunter, I attempt the table fare) you have taught me so much in just a few months? thank you, Chris

Thank you, thank you, thank you! In another adventure from the Asian market, the frozen squab I found were not cleaned. Plucked, packaged, but not cleaned. This video turned what would have been a time consuming mess into 5 quick minutes of preparation.

Great video, and I'd encourage anyone trying pigeon for the first time to prepare it this way - however if you've got 100+ birds from a day out on the crop then it makes much more sense to just take the crown off! Can be done in 30 seconds per bird, and you get 90% of the meat

Thanks, very informative. I'm considering shooting pigeons with my .22 caliber air rifle to try to offset the high cost of living in Britain right now & it will get worse. I would shoot ferril birds too but I think I'd just cut the breast meat off as there doesn't look like there is much more meat elsewhere.

@@cookingonabudgetuk Never tried Pigeon but with the cost of meat going up. Rabbit too I could shoot, I have a bright torch. I ordered more pellets anyway & in case there's a war coming. Brits in the past have shot Pigeon, Rabbit & other larger Birds to survive in the last wars.

I get quite a few woodies in my back garden. Was thinking of taking a few for the pot with the air rifle, but wondered if they would be OK to eat (I'm in a small town/village within the m25). Would the birds' condition be a good enough indicator of its edibility?
