Great video. Greeting from Southeast Missouri USA. We have Dove season going on here. The standard technique seems to be to to wrap 10-15 breast with a strip of bacon and grill them on the barbie outside. You have to swill beer while this is all going on.

Thanks, very informative. I'm considering shooting pigeons with my .22 caliber air rifle to try to offset the high cost of living in Britain right now & it will get worse. I would shoot ferril birds too but I think I'd just cut the breast meat off as you have as there doesn't look like there is much more meat elsewhere.

How do you know which mushrooms are safe to eat? Some mushrooms are poison right?
@Minastir1
@Minastir1 7 лет назад
You just have to learn which mushrooms are poisonous and which ones are safe to eat where you live. Luckily most of the poisonous varieties are pretty easy to identify at least in here in Finland. The most deadly ones are the death caps and destroying angels which can be tricky because they can look like young button mushrooms if you aren't familiar with them. The best tip I can give you is learn to identify the most common edible mushrooms first and ignore the rest. Chanterelles and edible boletes are in my opinion the easiest ones to start with.

@arlynnoel
@arlynnoel 7 лет назад
Scott said in the video that he'd use the rest of the bird for stock, so it won't be wasted. Except for the breast, there's not much meat on these birds, but morsels can be cut or pulled from the cooked carcass and legs.
