Thanks, Im going to try out for my school soccer team and i feel like im a lot more unexperienced then everyone else. tryouts start in 3 weeks, do you think i can catch up to the better players in time?
I want to make my soccer team more than anything. I’m a sophomore and we have like 95 kids try out and only 22 make it. We win the state championship every year and it’s very competitive. I’m so nervous. Can you tell me how to calm?
@willlyons8974 Being nervous and anxious for things like a tryout is something that I used to struggle a lot with myself. Then, I read a few books on the topic and they said how you mentally view your nervousness. They interviewed a bunch of Olympians and the highest performing ones said they refrained their nervousness as excitement. Both nervousness and excitement cause the same biological symptoms, but viewing it as you are excited to show off your hard work in tryouts will result in a better performance for you. Also, being prepared reduces stress, too. Consider watching the three other videos I have on how to crush your tryouts. There are a bunch of tricks to use in order to make the coaches select you, even if you are not one of the best players on the field. 💪
Definitely, not! There are a bunch of tips to show the coaches you are worth taking even if you're not that good at soccer... Have you seen the entire Soccer Tryouts playlist?
Essentially, to become a master at something, it takes hours of efforts in order to improve. So if you wanted to become a pro soccer player, you have a better chance spending an hour a day practicing for 6 days a week than someone who only practices a couple times more week. Not only that, but do not keep going through the ame motions that you are used to. Instead, find areas you are uncomfortable in soccer and deliberately practice step-by-step in order to become good at it so you can find the next thing to imprve at. However, avoid be a jack of all trades but a master of none. So make sure to spend plenty of time on the most important aspects for your specific soccer position. As a striker, most of my practice time is spent on self-passes, body feints, shot fakes, shooting, passing, receiving passes, and communicating.
@@RealPadméAmidala Have you watched the 4 tryout videos on this channel on how to make the team? Also, don't look at it as nervousness. Look at it as excitement to show off your abilities! 💪 Good luck tomorrow.
Then, still practice leading up to the tryout. Assume there is some type of running component they will test you on. And watch the few other tryout videos I have so you can succeed in ways that are not the exact drills themselves...
Wait, which grade did you make your soccer team? Im scared for a one mile run because I can only run it in just less than 10 minutes. Keep in mind im turning into a freshman
I made the frashman team as a freshman. I made the JV team as a sophomore. I made the Varsity time as a Junior and Senior. I'd definitely practicing the mile every other day until you have to run it for tryouts... Try not to run the day before tryouts though to avoid being sore...
