I got a traction treatment done today to treat my lower back pain and the clinic I went to did not do most of these step they didn't place the top belt or clip the belt on after the velcro they never asked my weight or give me a bell or even a emergency stop button is this normal for a fist time client?
I think the weight is known by the clinic upon initial evaluation. With the bell, in my experience I wasn't also given with my TENS + Hot packs treatment, they just asked me to call them in case I need help. With the belt's proper alignment, that I am not sure of.
I've seen lots of Physical Therapists who skip those steps. Especially if you're within their view. I personally don't skip those steps, better safe than sorry. Also it was probably a different type of traction table, there are like a million of them.
If you're using 25% to 50% of his body weight for the traction, you would just multiply .25(70) to .5(70) = Your range. In this case, it would be 1000kg. Haha just kidding. Do the math! (17.5kg to 25kg)
